Pink was asked to weigh in with her thoughts on who should be awarded the Grammy for Album of the Year, and she made our hearts fill with happiness when she cried GaGa!
Pink says:
"I think I'd have to go with Lady Gaga because she really, really just took over this year. She was everywhere. She's fearless when it comes to fashion and videos and I think a lot of other people play it really safe. I think she's been a total breath of fresh air. I love her videos. In some ways I think she's the most interesting without seeming to try to hard since Madonna. I think I'm able to like her because I don't see any of myself in her. And for awhile, I think, after Missundaztood came out, it was like, "Oh, everybody wants to be a rock star now." But with her, I don't know, I think she's marching to the beat of her own drum. And I really, really like that."

I really like Gaga but some of her fans are so clueless, so annoying.
I like GaGa and her songs are catchy but with little depth at this point. When she's compared to Madonna is pisses me off b/c Madonna wrote about empowerment, racisim, womans rights, religion, sex, the aids crisis, love, spirituality and countless other topics by putting them to dance beats. WTF is Bad Romance about? I mean lyrically it's stupid although the song is catchy. Britney made catchy dance songs too but they're just pop songs with no deeper meaning. Beyonce all the way on this one since she was far more original with Single Ladies and her entire album then GaGa was being Madonna/Kylie Minouge lite on hers.
GAGA! All the way! SHe has simply ruled the planet this past year…. Shes the "IT" girl. Hope she can keep it going with her next cd! Hope shes not just a flash in the pan!

jp1988, Madonna didn't sing about any of that stuff until she was already established and had the backing of the public to be able to make the kind of music she wanted to make. Record companies have a lot of power in terms of dictating what artists come out with. Madonna didn't have that in the beginning, Gaga is just starting out. Give her time, she's going to make some serious waves in the business. She's one of the few original artists out there right now, I'm looking forward to her future and she should absolutely win.
