There are loud whisperings that Billy Idol (!) could be replacing Steven Tyler as the frontman for Aerosmith!!!!
Totally weird or totally brilliant?
Inside sources say Idol was set to meet with Aerosmith's Joe Perry last week, but came down with a bad cold before the big talk.
"Joe said he wanted to talk to Billy about joining Aerosmith, because the band were having problems with Steven. As far as I know Idol did not show up due to having a cold," claimed the insider.
What do U think about all of this??

Think it is great-would never have thought of it! But their styles and sound are very similar and Billy has shown that even at his age he is still physically up for that group.

I love Billy Idol, and I always thought he had a great voice, but he doesn't have the range that Tyler has. I can't picture him singing the high notes to songs like "Walk this Way" and "Dream On"

Steven Tylers voice IS Aerosmith….. it would be similar to trying to replace Robert Plant or Mick Jagger…. not possible. I do love Billy Idol though… and his vocals are very strong…. it could end up being an interesting band… not Aerosmith… but a good band all it's own…

Billy Idol is still hot and awesome in concert! I would go see him no matter what band he was fronting but I would still rather hear him perform his own material than Aerosmith.
