The always seksi and usually intelligent Johnny Depp decided to put his two cents in about director Roman Polanski's upcoming return to the US to face charges for drugging and sodomizing a 13 year old girl in 1977.
Depp, who must be prepping for a role as a conspiracy theorist, says,
"Why now? Obviously there is something going on somewhere. Somebody has made a deal with someone. Maybe there was a little money involved, but why now?"
Um, we hate to be rude, Johnny, but we saw The Ninth Gate, the SHITEOUS movie you two collaborated on, and if that is any indication of what Polanski is capable of, then you should know better.
Apparently he doesn't though, and continued to say,
"Roman is not a predator. He's 75 or 76 years old. He has got two beautiful kids, he has got a wife that he has been with for a long, long time. He is not out on the street."
Who cares if he's a predator or not? He committed a PREMEDITATED, VIOLENT crime against a minor. Actions have consequences, folks. Let's all keep that in mind.

Didn't Roman Polanski already serve his time? Then he was freed but the judge decided he wanted to give him even more time and that's when he fled? I think since he's already served the time he was originally given everyone should just let it the fuck go.

When someone assaulted and they press charges, that person who assaulted them usually goes to jail and even trial, whatever sentence they may get, the judge doesn't say "what does the victim want to happen?" I actually agree with you for once Perez. I don't know why he's getting special treatment b/c he's older now. That doesn't erase what he did all those years ago and it doesn't erase the fact that he escaped from justice. The only reason all these actors and such are coming out of the woodwork is because he's a famous director who makes them look great on screen. If this were an ordinary human being, everyone would be itching for justice. Justice is supposed to blind and that means it doesn't care whether someone is reformed or not, old or not, or hasn't done a damned thing criminal in 50 years. That's not the point. JD I love you but I'm sorry…he was convicted of a crime and that makes him a criminal. Case closed.
