"Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership of New Jersey
We are New Jersey's premier youth leadership development program!
HOBY's vision is "To motivate and empower individuals to make a positive difference within our global society through understanding and action, based on effective and compassionate leadership."
HOBY's purpose is to teach how to think, not what to think. Our leadership seminar provides an opportunity for New Jersey's high school sophomores to recognize their potential talents and apply them in becoming effective, ethical leaders of the future. The high level of energy, encouragement and motivation as well as the interaction with peers, panelists and volunteer staff are important elements in nurturing the students' future leadership roles. Each September, every accredited public and private high school in New Jersey is invited to select and send an outstanding sophomore as its representative based on demonstrated leadership potential. The volunteers who plan, organize and run this three-day seminar also raise the funds to pay for all program expenses."

Great program. I went myself as a sophomore. Went back to volunteer too, word of warning though they treat their volunteers and employees pretty poorly.
I went to HOBY in Pa last year. The seminar changed my life and its such an oustanding program. Best four days of my life!
