Companies Getting "Tiger Insurance"

Not a bad idea!

Companies with celebrity endorsers are now taking out insurance based on the Tiger Woods scandal to protect them from potential losses! Lawyer Brian Socolaw explains:

"Companies are saying if it could happen to Tiger Woods, it could happen to anyone. … For some companies, it's a tremendous investment, and when it goes bad, it is not only the loss of investment, it's a black eye for the company."

These companies are also placing new morals causes into effect in the celebrities' contracts that give them the right to terminate endorsement deals if the celebs get into any mayjah trouble!

Way to set the precedent, Tiger!

    STUPID.

They should have a clause in their "endorsement" contract with said celebrity that if the celebrity should do anything wrong (i.e. tiger woods fiasco) that celebrity should be sued.

what insurance company would ever allow that? LAME.

Good! I actually think this is a good thing because it will make them stop and think before they act stupid. Then we can have our stars be stars and not just overpaid undeservingly lucky bastards.

It's quite ironic, as Arnold Palmer was a way bigger cheater than Tiger's been, and Arnold is #5 in current money earners, and it was kept quiet when he was in his prime. It's the difference between the internet and no internet.

Re: vincenotvance – You are a fool, it is nothing to do with race, it is to do with the fact that he led a double life. If it were a white famous person, they would have been shunned just as much. I don't even live in America and the country I am from we have no issues with black, white or race. I have been watching much American TV and I have noticed more and more black people belittling white people (an episode of trading spouses and so you think you can dance to be exact). I think this belittling is just as unacceptable as white people speaking inappropriately about blacks.

Yes the lawyer said perfectly right “if it could happen to Tiger Woods, it could happen to anyone.” The girlfriends of Tiger understood the whole thing.

Please let him loose all his endorsements and go broke. Oh pretty please.

TIGER WOODS IS A FUCKING COW AND A MORON. AND A LIAR AND A DOUCHE BAG. HE IS THE INSIDE OF A USED DOUCHE BAG. THAT IS WHAT TIGER WOODS IS. TIGER WOODS IS just AWFUL AND I HOPE HE PUTS HIS PEEN IN A BLENDER AND BLENDS IT OFF.

ok WELL, lets save them some money, cause as far as Im concerned… FUCK tiger fuck up woods. Im so sick of his shit I wont be buying anyone or thing that endorses him anyways. People,… dont fall into the marketing hype. Big companies have waterfalls of money from US! Put your foot down. Re: vincenotvance – What the hell are you talking about if you even know what you are talking about? White people did'nt tell Tiger to go out and committ adultry, white people did not make him do it. News flash you racisit idiot Tiger did this to himself and to his innocent family! Tired of people like you to rush to judgement and start crying the white people made me do it, or it's the white person's fault no matter what the situation might be. The people are tired of the boo-hooing get a life, get a job and do it on your own like the white, red, black, yellow, brown or what ever color exsist in this world does. I don't care what the color of your skin is when you say stupid shit like you did you are an idiot and certainly are not speaking for everyone else. You are a good example of what is wrong with this world today, you are more than likely black just because of your comment and I don't care what color you are you are an idiot for putting the blame on anyone but the person that did this to himself again you racisit ignorant fool!!

I think is about time that companies start realizing that you cannot place of all your eggs in the same basket. If I were the CEO of one this multi-million companies, I would have done the same long time ago. Usually a company sponsor or endorse a celebrity is not only for their achievements but for their public profiles. Therefore, if we apply some common sense, we must remember that as human beings we tend to commit mistakes ALL KIND OF MISTAKES. So if their public profile is so important for the company and so fragile at the same time. Why not to get insurance in case that their worldwide highest paid professional athlete (allegedly) cheat on his wife 11 times, or if their famous Hip-Hop Singer decides to hit his girlfriend (Chris Brown-Juicy Fruit Gum) or if their Olympic Champion decides to smoke marihuana in public (Michael Phelps-Kellogs, AT&T, and Rosetta Stone) …Again, common sense, common sense.
