The Situation Behind The Situation Trademark

With reports that Jersey Shore's Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino might soon have his own cologne, we hope he gets his trademark issues sorted out quickly.

Turns out "The Situation" is in the process of getting trademarked, by two different people. Though oddly enough, Mike isn't one of them.

Two applications have been filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

One is by porn company owner Marc Sorrentino, who just happens to be The Situation's brother.

ClASSY!

The other is by some corporation named Vadio LLC run by Matthew Hunter. It's unknown if there's any relation to Mike, though most likely not.

Sorrentino filed his application on December 28th for t-shirts and underwear to bear the signature phrase.

However, on December 11th, Hunter filed for the same trademark with the hopes to put the phrase on several items of clothing, such as bathing suits and tracksuits.

Guess we'll find out shortly who wins this battle.

Though maybe someone should also consider trademarking "Snooki", "JWoww", and "GTL". Might help later on.

Jersey shore is going to get really old really fast…i hope they all have good investment advisors and put away some of that money instead of blowing it on stupid shit cause their 15 minutes are up any moment
