Mackenzie Phillips Changes Her Story
For the better part of the last six months or so since her book was released, Mackensize Phillips has told the press and the public that her incestuous relationship she allegedly had with her father, The Mamas & The Papas singer John Phillips, was a consensual one.
Tonight, she will take it all back!
While on The Joy Behar Show, Mackensize rescinds her original accusations, claiming that the lessons she has learned as a survivor of incest have helped her see the truth. She insists that because of their father-daughter dynamic, their really was no way to have a consensual sexual relationship and so, she will not consider it as one.

She is absolutely correct in that consensual is not a part of this equation. Her father used her for his needs and she had enough of a messed up head from the drugs and her life to allow it to continue to occur. For those of you bashing her for her drug use and automatically think she's lying…I sincerely hope you don't know anyone who goes thru this. After all the hell he put her through, you don't think most of us would turn to drugs? it's a way to hide from your true reality. I hope and pray that she continues on her path to recovery and hope to hell that Bushwack's statement doesn't come true. But its typical behaviour for you since you treat women as shit most of the time on here and you never fact check your stories either. You only add to the disservice of misinformation.
It wasn't so much of a change in her story, it was a change in perspective. Placing the blame on oneself is often seen in abuse cases, especially if it continuous and the victim does nothing to stop it. They believe that they allowed it to continue by not doing anything about it. I think she was struggling to find the right words to explain all of this without making her father out to be a rapist.
She didn't change her story. She might of thought it was her fault from the stat but after getting help she finally realized that it wasn't. My heart goes out to her, I think she is very brave and I wish her the best of luck in healing her pain.

ok- first off, a little 13 yr old girl who trusts her father, didnt fight him off- the first time- that does not make it 'consensual', secondly a father that gives his little daughter drugs, and thinks he is having consensual sex with his own off spring is SICK- i dont care how many records he makes.
