When you destroy every physical aspect that makes you "you", expect that your mother is going to be horrified.
Heidi Montag finally took her new "self" back home to Colorado to see her family this week and things didn't go as smoothly as she had hoped. Obviously, Heidi has been ignoring how the rest of the world has been reacting to her, since her mother's reaction came as a complete surprise.
According to Heidi, her reunion with her mother ended up being awkward and harsh. Heidi says her mother looked at her as if she were a "circus freak" and not "her daughter" anymore. Just when you thought she had finally begun to understand what a stoopid thing this was to do, she then resigned to the thought that really her mother's problem is with Spencer. She says:
"I think she was most upset that Spencer was there for me and she wasn't."
Incorrect. She is upset because at 23-years old, you've had more work on your face than Joan Rivers. (That may be pushing it, but you get what we mean!)
Imagine how she feels, Heidi! She gave you that face, that body. You are a product of her and your decision to mutilate yourself is just like saying thanks for nothing!

Heidi was never ugly, despite what she might say. Sure, she had a big Jay Leno chin, but then everyone has something about them that they don't like. You just learn to deal with it. To be quite honest, I don't think her new "self" looks that bad, I think her surgeon did a pretty good job, but the problem is that she's gonna keep going back for more until she ends up looking like Jocelyn Windelstein. You're an idiot. It is a couples decision when one is undertaking something incredibly risky. There is ALWAYS a chance of dying while under anesthesia (Michael Jackson Anybody?) And if it was necessary surgery that is one thing, but when it is the surgical version of annorexia, this isn't a matter of women's rights. The girl needs therapy badly.

I could see it if her nose had been broken, or droopy eyelids obscured her vision, but she was already gorgeous and unique. It's done, and they'll all have to work very hard to move past this, but she'll need to understand why people might be devastated by what she's done first.

Cinner, I 100% disagree that she is a "narcissist" as you claim. Look up the definition of a narcissist. Narcissist have self love to an extreme to where they don't give a f&ck about anyone or what anyone else thinks about them. They are so self absorbed and love themselves so much that they don't even bother with trying to improve themselves because they think they are God's gift to the universe.
Heidi is the complete opposite. She has so much self-hatred that she underwent pain and cutting and suffering to mask the true pain of self-hatred. That is what people with body dysmorphic disorder do. They pay people to cut them up so they refocus their self hatred on healing themselves physically when they need psychiatric medication and major therapy instead.
She is on a collision course to major depressive disorder and situational anxiety disorder unless she seeks psychiatric help immediately.
People can hate on her all they want but what this boils down to is Heidi is very mentally ill and should have compassion instead. However, people do not understand BDD and usually don't care to understand it unless they are suffering from it themselves. Even then most people are in denial they have BDD because plastic surgeons don't have a duty to screen for it. They just take the $ and run!

Oh, and to add further. Spencer is more the definition of a narcissist. The worst combination in a relationship is someone with BDD and someone who is narcissistic. Because of the complete opposite spectrum these individials are at, excessive self hatred being with someone with excessive self-love makes a very deadly combination because the person with excessive self hatred (Heidi) will always be brainwashed and manipulated by the person with excessive self-love. You can see this with Heidi and Spencer. Heidi has a very co-dependent relationship with Spencer, which has in turn isolated her from the world and caused her BDD symptoms to worsen over time, which is manifested by mirror checking and being home bound and isolated from society.
What I think is sad is to feel so much pressure to be perfect, to constantly be judged, to do something like this to yourself because you felt some sort of pressure to be a certain way for you to feel accepted and then you do something to make you feel better and no one shuts the fuck up about it. WHO CARES? If she is now comfortable in her own skin then why is anyone else concerned, obviously the only people who do are the ones you trash talk about how she is a nobody but then talk about and post about that person several times a week. I think it's really cruel that people continue to ridicule Heidi, especially when you dont know her, i think her upgraded face is beautiful, its just a drastic change and takes getting used to, Beauty is subjective to each individual, in heidi's eyes she is now also a beautiful person physically, i think we all have our own imperfections and i cant imagine how difficult it would be to have people by the 100s and 1000s judging me i think its easy to sit here and point fingers at someones insecurities and desicions but i would like to see how long you could last under the same pressure, maybe you should think about it next time you decide to insult someone you know nothing about.
