| Filed under: Baby BlabberBalthazar Getty

Actress Sarah Jane Morris, who starred as Balthazar Getty's wife on Brothers & Sisters before he blew it and got their characters (for the most part) written out of the show, gave birth to a baby boy on January 24th!

Morris, who is married to Rooney drummer/hottie Ned Brower, welcomed Emmet Andrew Brower after being in labor with no drugs help for 15 hours!!

Whoa!!!!!!! Girlfriend is one hardcore bitch!!

We appreciate that you wanted your baby to come into the world au naturale, but that is an intensely LONG time to pop one out!!

Brower took to facebook to alert the world of the happy new addition to their family.

"S.O.N. (Son of Ned) hath arrived. Emmett Andrew Brower weighs in at 8.2 lbs. Sarah labored for 15 hours w/NO meds…she is a total powerhouse and my hero."

We agree!! We hope she and the baby are happily recovering!!

Um, 15 hours in labor is nothing Perez–some women are in labor for A LOT longer than that.

  3. 3

Erm… my first was 38 hours natural. 15 hours would have been great.

  4. 4

Not long dickhead…some amazons spend days in labour

  5. 5

there is something really unique about her. she kinda shines =) very pretty.

  7. 7

Actually 15 hours isn't so bad for a natural birth. If you dont have Dr's pushing drugs at you to speed it up so they can go home then it will take a little longer.

  8. 8

There Perez goes again wishing he was a woman.

  9. 9

hope her baby has un upper lip :)

  10. 10

15 is not that long. I was in labor for 24 hours, and about 20 of that was before the epidural.

  11. 11

I was in labor for 42 hours, at home, no drugs. Just a midwife! Eventually popped my son out on the couch!

I was in labor for 26 hours, no drugs, gimme a break

  13. 13

perez hellooooooooo just cuz your in labor 15 hours doesnt mean your pushing! i was in labor 23 hrs and only pushed for 55 minutes.

  14. 14

I was in labor for 18 hours. No biggie. Good for her for skipping the drugs.

  15. 15

That's an average labor for a first time mom but I will give her props on the no drugs if she didn't want them. I have 3 kids and was no way I would have done it au natural! Lol! I was screaming for my epidural! ;)

  16. 16

I was in labor for 43 hours. 15 would have been fantastic! Lucky girl.

  17. 17

pssh 15 hours is nothing!!! i was in labor for 72 hours, pushed for 5 1/2 hours AND had no drugs!

  18. 18

Pleeeease. My mom was in labor with me for 2 days. 15 hours? That's not news. That's actually relatively quick.

  19. 19

once again, perez shows us how little he knows about women's bodies. like previous posters have stated, 15 hours is a very normal, even short, labor.

  20. 20

My first labor was about 15 hours total, spent less than 15min actually pushing.

  21. 21

Sorry but you really shouldn´t be blabbing about things you obviously know NOTHING about Perez.
15 hours of labor is not much at all, with or without meds.

  22. 22

yeah, 15 hours is nothing. I was in labor for 57 hours with no pain meds and then still ended up with a c-section, this chick had it easy

  23. 23

Been there done that and it is not easy! Congrats to her.

  24. 24

15 hours is not that long, an average first time mom labors between 15 and 18 hours. My first was 16 hours and second was 15.

17pssh 15 hours is nothing!!! i was in labor for 72 hours, pushed for 5 1/2 hours AND had no drugs!

This is impossible, no one, Dr. or Midwife, would ever let anyone push for 5 1/2 hours, the baby would be in extreme distress and probably die.

  25. 25

ummm…15 hours in labor???? Thats not long Perez!..Now how long did she push? Me for almost 3 hours after being in labor for over 24 hrs..tssk tssk!!! Should do some research first..she had a very short labor.

  26. 26

LOL my first labor was 27 hours!!!! (of hell mind you!)

  27. 27

I was in labor for 24 hours 15 isn't shit..and there are woman who are in labor longer than 24 hours so stop praising so damn much.

  28. 28

good for her, but 15h is not that long when it comes to giving birth…

  29. 29

i am happy to here that her and her baby are doing well but 15 hours is nothing. I was in labor 53 hours with my first one and 47 with my second and i am sure there are tons of women out there with similar stories.

  30. 30

ummm 15 hours of labor? Are you kidding? Thats a dream! Thats considered to be a SHORT labor. I was in labor for over 44 hours, including over 4 hours of pushing—with metal plates & screws in my spine attached to my pelvis from a back surgery, that were still not done fusing to my pelvis and sacrem–which ummm, has to open up to let the baby through…talk about hell. Now, To this day I wonder how mankind evolved and continued reproducing-you had to have been crazy to give birth back in the day! I feel ill thinking about it.

my mom had a 26 hour labor with my brother. no pain meds. and did it again for me. i dont understand what the big deal is???? normal non celeb women have been doing this for a long freaking time they get no credit for it.

  32. 32

Re: mitchellar31 – I disagree with you - I,too, was in labor 72 hours no drugs - and 5 hours of hard labor. They attach a moniter to the baby's scalp and watch for fetal distress. 15 hours no drugs is a walk in the park!

  33. 33

15 is nothing, it took me 29 hours!!

  34. 34

PEREZ 15 HOURS IS NORMAL!!! Yeesh…men. Mine was more like 20.

  35. 35

I always thought they didn't let people push for more than an hour . I pushed for 1 hour. But I've heard people say they pushed for longer so I don't really know.

  36. 36

Please! Try 27! 15 is perfectly normal.

  37. 37

Congrats for her and NO DRUGS is great! But yes PH, puhleeeze do some research into the most basic human phenomenon (birth!) that 15 hours is like, nothin'. You needz more baby mommas to consult. Reporting news is journalism. Cover the basics!

There are certain things you should never talk about Mario as you clearly haven't got any knowledge on the subject at the hand. 15 hours in labor is nothing, some women spend days in labor! Just like when you mentioned how rare giving birth in a bathtub is, which again is very, very common. Get an education dude! Seriously!

  39. 39

How horrible! Why would any women put herself through such hell is beyond me. All babies should be delevered via c-section. Thank god for that option, so women don't have to suffer like animals.

  40. 40

Re: mitchellar31 – It's not impossible because I did it, I'm not lying, thanks. Those were the longest 5 hours of my life & I actually begged for a c-section but myself & my son were perfectly healthy so there was no reason to operate.

  41. 41

Re: methesupergirl – Because a c-section is also painful & requires a MUCH longer recovery time, when, if you have a newborn, is not easy to recover from a major surgery like that.

  42. 42

I've heard 15 hours is nothing compared to what some women go through. I'm sure you will all hate me when I tell you I was in labor and gave birth for my first child in almost an hour and a half, and my second 31 minutes. No pain meds for me either, but I totally wanted them- the babies just came too fast.

  43. 43

76 hours of labor here, and I never let my son forget it!!!! 15 hours is a walk in the park!

  44. 44

    Re: mitchellar31

Totally agree with you 5 1/2 hours pushing is just not real .

  45. 45

hun 15 hours of labor is not a big deal, not to put her down because maybe she's just talking active labor but seriously if its start to finish in 15 hours she's mighty lucky!

  46. 46

    Re: methesupergirl
why would you want MAJOR ADOMINAL SURGERY rather than a safe and natural vag birth? Its ignorant people like you that make the world go round I guess.

  47. 47

she's pretty. looks similar to charlize theron

  48. 48

Re: zapzoum – believe it. it's not like it was constant pushing. there were breaks for me to gather energy during those 5 hours, but start to finish pushing was 5 1/2 hours for me, I have no reason to lie?

  49. 49

Congratulations! I miss her on B&S!

  50. naima says – reply to this

Congratulations, but seriously 15 hours in labor is no big deal at all, its actually nothing. I dont get why people make such big deal of celebrities giving birth when they are always happen to be in the best hospitals surrounded by the best medical team and have access to lot more things than the average woman. I have known women that have given birth in the worst conditions you could ever imagine meaning no drugs, no doctors, no nurses, no hospitals. So enough praising celebrities because they give birth.

  51. 51

I was in labor for 14 BORING hours, and most of that time it's just sitting around. I must say though that it's refreshing to finally hear of a celeb not going under the knife, having a c-section, (which is so dangerous) as to not ruin their precious vajay-jay. (And don't tell me that every celeb you've heard of giving birth in the past 4 yrs or so isn't having a c-section because their "dr. told them they HAD to", or the baby wasn't descending quickly enough, etc…) Brit-Brit had 2 of them in 2 years, Aguilera, Denise Richards, Pamela Anderson, etc… The only one that didn't was Nicole Ritchie that is TEENY-TINY…
    Good for this chick!!

  52. 52

um, i was in labor for 32 hours w/o drugs…15 is nothing! but good for her!

  53. 53

Good Lord, people! Why you hatin' on Miss Sarah? She worked hard for that baby, just like all of you apparently did…just like we ALL do. Birthin' babies ain't no cakewalk no matter how long it takes and even if you do it with drugs!!
