Casey Johnson Autopsy Results In!

The L.A. County Coroner has revealed today that the cause of death for socialite Casey Johnson was "diabetic ketoacidosis." That term means there was a lack of insulin in Casey's system, which led to her falling into a diabetic coma.
The coroner confirmed that the mixture of an unhealthy lifestyle and her decision not to take her insulin shots led to her tragic yet "natural" death.
Poor girl! She really needed someone looking out for her, especially in her condition.
Very sad!

It was about time! now all the haters know the truth!!
REST IN PEACE:: CASEY JOHNSON! ☮PEACE☮
Surprised you actually got this one right without twisting the results. And no, your not "sad" at all for her based on all the mean and hurtful things you have said about her. You are so superficial and fake its disgusting. Don't fake empathy when you obviously knwo nothing about it.
good job looking after your "wifey", tila nguyen. you loved her so much you let her die of a disease that could have been managed. yeah, great job. you were so good for her. this is just sad and pathetic. this poor girl should still be alive. maybe if tila hadn't isolated her from all her family and friends and enabled her right into this condition she'd still be alive today. horrific. i can't imagine the pain her family and friends must be suffering with. charge tila with manslaughter and put her in the cell next to murray.
Tila
Tequila
KILLS.
this should come as a warning… it's sad but if you're sick TAKE YOUR MEDICATION
who?
Poor girl needed someone to look after her? She was an adult who chose to not take her medication. Don't put the blame on someone else. She did this to herself.
she did not NEED someone to look after her. she needed to take her insulin. I am a diabetic. I KNOW I must take my insulin twice a day. She was a type 1 diabetic. Her body produced NO INSULIN. She had to take it a few times a day. Why she did not, refused too, we will not know. It just goes to show you that while she had everything handed to her in life, she ended up dying alone and without anything. Money does not buy health or happiness
Poor girl, my ass! SHE made her own decisions - poor ones. We all give account for ourselves!
Diabetic Ketoacidosis is serious shit. The body's pH levels can dip and often quite quickly to dangerous levels and death then ensues. In many ways this must be even more difficult information for the family to hear as this was so easily avoidable.
And to think this idiot was handed the welfare of a child to take look after. Stupid waste of a life, good thing her kid is in better hands now [hopefully]
sad.
Its good that the truth came out so people can stop speculating about how she died. It is sad that she died but she shoud have been more careful about her health then she was about partying. She not only had to take care of herself but her adopted daughter as well. May she rest in peace.
If my fiancee had gone missing for days, I would be very concerned and trying to find him/her. Where was Tila and why was she not more aggressive in her search?
rich kid's parents ….hopefully will see that giving your kid everything…will eventually kill them..
In other words she committed suicide.
it's the one thing money cannot buy..love
Re: bizzatch – I was irritated by that comment too–no one in her family needs guilt over this. She was an adult with ample resources.
Tila tequila told her not to take all her medication. She said it right on cnn
Re: hateliars – Because Tila Tequila flat out said on Jane Valez that she convinced Casey she didn't need all that stuff and throughout their time together she convinced Casey to come off her meds. That the doctors were basically out to get her. From transcripts: "I said what is all this — all these pills that you`re taking because you really don`t need to. And in the beginning she was — she was, I admit, taking a lot of pills. I don`t know what they were but they were a prescription that her doctor prescribed her and along with her diabetes. But after we got engaged for a while, then she slowly stopped taking all the pills." Straight from Tila's mouth.
Re: TampopoLoco – I thought this same thing.. is it possible she was trying to harm herself?
Re: imsoregistered – THANK YOU for bringing this information to the forefront today. tila bears great responsiblity for this poor girl's miserable, painful and lonely death. everything tila touches turns black and dies. she's toxic.
R.i.P. CASEY ! : |( SO SO SAD! I KNEW IT WAS NATURAL!!!! What a shame!
Re: imsoregistered – except that if she was a type I diabetic, she should not have needed any pills. Simply stay away from booze, watch your carbs and TAKE YOUR DAMN INSULIN… which is a SHOT not a pill.
To bad it wasn't your autopsy report
i've been through d.k.a many times when i was younger, and its been the singular most painful thing i have ever been through… i don't understand how casey could have not done anything about it! this is assuming that she has had the ketoacidosis before, as she did not look after herself like she should've been… i just can't comprehend how she managed to live through the pain before she died and didn't tell anyone or do something drastic about it…
Maybe now Tila and Casey's friends can stop playing the blame game!
Re: tigrrrlilly – Casey Johnson was a 30 year old adult, she didn't need a babysitter. Tila cannot MAKE someone quit giving themselves insulin shots. They knew eachother less than a full month, I think CJ had problems long before Tila entered her life. Illness is responsible for Casey's death…not Tila, not Jasmine, not Courtenay, not even the Johnson's and certainly not Casey. The illness of addiction or whatever caused her to stop taking insulin, but its not Casey's fault either.
Re: azn_remixx – Tila told her not to take her pills. Does insulin come in pill form? If it does, I stand corrected.
I just can't believe she didn't use or have a supply of Ketone Test strips. I'm type 2, and often test for Ketones. Ketones in the urine may indicate diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), which untreated, can lead to serious, even fatal consequences. They are like 8 bucks a pack, and all you have to do is pee on it. Anyone with that type of diabetes (and has been in a coma before) is just playing suicide. It's hard to feel sorry for her, when testing supplies can be bought over the counter. If I'm negligent in testing and taking my own meds, that's my own dam fault.
Also - if you're diabetic - please wear a bracelet or necklace that says so. The bracelets are meant for the patient's safety. A diabetic patient might have an adverse reaction or condition anywhere and at anytime. In such a situation the bracelet indicates that the patient is a diabetic, ensuring correct primary and first aid. This can save life in many cases. These bracelets help the doctors give the right kind of treatment to the diabetics and help them make the right diagnosis.
One last thing. Do you all remember when Tila was carrying all the sryinges and meds out of the house. It could be quite possible that Casey didn't have her meds because they were at Tila's house — and Tila was gone for a few days. Maybe Casey thought she could make it through. Who knows? But if Tila talked Casey out of taking her meds, that's just about as close to killing someone as I've ever seen.
Re: CarrieDN1 – I take my insulin in a pen form — you dial up the amount of insulin prescribed, screw on the needle, and stick it in my arm (using cleansing stuff first). IMHO - true insulin does not come in a pill. I saw Tila carrying out the syringes like mine, so that tells me she was probably taking insulin, and other diabetic meds, like Metformin.
How much do you think her Dad paid for that "cause of death" ? Are they kidding?
How tidy.
Heaven help me if I had had Diabetes at her age. I definitely might have neglected it sometimes (a lot of times!) as well. Maybe when you know you have it you need to become far more aware. Poor thing. RIP.
Re: imsoregistered – insulin DOES NOT come in pill form. She had TYPE 1 diabetes
I have the same disease, and was diagnosed in a diabetic ketoacidosis state, I am in no way surprised this is what killed her. I am however, saddened that this disease is going to "plague" the death of this women, when in reality this disease is a very livable disease, but apparently a silver spooned 30 yr old cannot do what pre-school children can, and simply take care of themselves by testing your blood sugar….
Re: Mrs_Bathscum – We all know this now since you have repeated it about 3 times, but have you ever stopped to think that maybe there WERE other medications that she was prescribed that DO come in pill form? Since Tila was the one to speak those words, then yes she does bear some responsibility if she did indeed manipulate her into not taking her medications. Yes, she was an adult, but it can be very easy to manipulate someone when they are already at a low point in their life. Casey was in that position and was vulnerable. Tila used her for her own purposes, that much is obvious. if you truly cared for someone so much as to call them their spouse, then i woudl think that you would be searching for them if they are missing for even 1 day much less the 3-4 days she was missing. That just proves that Tila had no respect for Casey and just wanted to get publicity (as we can see with her so called pregnancy). So please don't try to defend this POS skank because she did have a hand in way the situation worked out.
Also…diabetic ketoacidosis takes weeks to take over someones body, she didnt just stop taking her insulin the day before she died, many people around her would have noticed how tired and dehydrated she was. IMO she probably never took care of herself, and because she partied and drank to an excess her body could not take it anymore…
Sad!!!!
Re: MyOpinionOnly – you and i are fully on the same side in this one. thank you for your words. very, VERY well-said.
R.I.P.
You can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped.
Re: duyer12 – DKA doesn't take weeks to take over someone's body. It can happen in less than a day. (Sorry) Why on earth was she still even using syringes anyway? Why didn't she have an insulin pump? Tragic. Ya'd think that since she was an heir to the Johnson & Johnson family $, that she'd have an endocrinologist give her a pump. My insurance paid for the device in full.($6K) Sad she left a child.
rip to casey, and i hope her family can find some peace. ketoacidosis is a horrible thing. i have a friend with diabetes type one and i witnessed him go though this. luckily i caught this happening right away and when he was unresponsive i called 911 and he was taken to the hospital where he survived after spending a week in the hospital. diabetes is a tragic thing to live with and if you don't take care of yourself, this can so easily happen. i can't imagine living with type one diabetes and the millions that do have a truly hard life. so sad… hope there will be a cure in the near future.
Wow perez 0-2 that is pretty bad. You made your opinion pretty clear on her and Brittany Murphy. You made their deaths sound like drug overdoses and self inflicted shit, when in reality they both had non drug related health conditions that eventually took their lives. Yet people will forever say that they died from drug overdoses because of the crap that you feed them in you inaccurate predictions.
Re: TheMrsBradPitt – Except if you are Type 1, depending on how severe it is, and hers seemed to be, she could have been on intense vitamins, immune boosters, sleep aids to ensure her body gets downtime… Tila said more, I just pointed out the obvious. Even the America Diabetes Association has a list of pills that are beneficial to Type 1 sufferers. "There is no "best" pill or treatment for diabetes. You may need to try more than one type of pill, combination of pills, or pills plus insulin." Types of pills - * Sulfonylureas
* Meglitinides
* Biguanides
* Thiazolidinediones
* Alpha-glucosidase inhibitors
* DPP-4 inhibitors
Re: CarrieDN1 – If someone is mentally incapacitated then yes, Tila is responsible. Tila is the one who helped convince her. Tila told her she didn't need them. As a person of vulnerability and Tila being of influence then yes. Try that argument on the dozens of husbands and wives who just sat and watched their spouses stop managing a disease, they are in jail for criminal neglect (some even involuntary manslaughter) for not getting them help. Casey was clearly not mentally healthy.
Re: tigrrrlilly – You're most welcome. See….we CAN agree on some things! Have a good weekend grrrrlll. Lol!
Re: imsoregistered – Reportedly Tila is also a druggie, at least according to Casey's friends. So, two mentally sick people.
