It's been a long time coming!

On Friday, Dr. Conrad Murray will turn himself in the LAPD and finally be charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson.

The doctor will be booked and taken to Airport Court in El Lay, Division 144, where he will face a judge around 1:30pm.

And good thing for all us looky-loos, there will be a pool video camera and still camera to document the happenings!

so watching VH1 last night about fat celebs, they had none other than mario on there when he was fatter. at that point he didn't think he was getting laid (for over a year I might add) because he was fat…….now that he lost some weight, why is he still not getting laid??????????

I can not wait but I won't believe it until it happens. I dont believe he did it on purpose. But I think he should be charged with 2nd degree murder!!

You have been so unrelenting in your crucifying of this man. While he may have done something completely unethical you forget that Michael Jackson had other people around him that enabled the lifestyle that led to his death.

I can't wait for that so called doctor to go down. I have a feeling that justice will not be served with him, he will probably not even do a year in jail for MJ's death.
****RIP MICHAEL JACKSON WE MISS YOU****

After taking 7 months the DA better have a SLAM DUNK case for involuntary manslaughter. It is unfortunate that they have seemingly gone with the charge with the LEAST ramifications if he is found guilty. I would have thought negligent homicide would have been a possibility with the charge of involuntary manslaughter, available to the jury if they thought it was a better verdict. I am no lawyer, I freely admit.

The case should be easy enough to try. Just parade a group of anesthesiologists onto the stand, ask them if they have ever or would ever give propofol in the home setting (even if at the patient's request or in an attempt to wean him off). and listen to the resounding chorus of NOs.
Ask what the monitoring of a patient on propofol should be and if the patient should or can ever be left alone even for the briefest moment while on this drug.
I have been a respiratory therapist for some years and this drug is used particularly to stop a patient's respiratory drive so that they can be placed on a ventilator while their lungs "heal". As a health care professional I am ashamed this man calls himself a doctor.

Ha! This is quite a soap opera over someone who IS NOT dead.

Sorry to disappoint all the haters here but Doctor Murray will be acquitted just like O.J. was at the first trial. Michael wanted to sleep very badly, could not fall asheep, was begging the Doctor to help him. So the Doctor gave him something to take him out of his misery. What we don't know is what MJ took without telling the Doctor before the fatal dose. The Doctor acted with compassion, just as I would have done under the same circumstances. Stop hating, karma will get you.

Re: Babouchka – Doctors take an oath to first do do harm. Doctors are in no way obligated to give in to patients' demands/requests. Propofol was the cause of MJs death plain and simple. It is not a drug for home use and requires advance monitoring. Try knowing what you are talking about before you comment.

Finally! One incompetent "Dr." taken down and many, many more to go.

      R.I.P Michael

Re: DWG – It's a shame to know that your "hero" is your "hero" based off of fictional things that they think is the truth when in actuallity the truth is totally opposite from what he or she just said.

    19. 19

Re: Edgenet – Go join your hero in prison. Stop repeating yourself and go do something about it if you glorify this "Dr." so much.

    20. 20

Re: ap076 – Exactly. People talk out their behinds as if Michael was sitting up popping pills and doing all kind of drugs etc. The truth is that he wasn't and the autopsy showed that very clearly. He had a serious case of insomnia that Murray had been treating him for. If I'm a patient and I go to a doctor for help, I'm going to trust that whatever that doctor does for me to treat what I need help for is safe and ok to do because he is the professional. The reason why Murray is in deep crap is because of that oath he took (like you said) which stipulates that a patients safety come before all else and he failed!Every drug has a side effect and I'm sure like all of us Michael knew that but Michael didn't ask to die. Michael asked for treatment for a sleeping problem.
