Fox Still Mulling Over Conan

Do it, do it!
Fox head Rupert Murdoch says that the network isn't 100% sure they want to pick up a new Conan O'Brien show and that there are "different opinions" between the executives.
Fox has spoken to Conan, but no negotiations are happening as of yet.
"We're giving it a lot of thought and a lot of examination," Murdoch says. "If the programming people can show us we can do it…and make a profit, we would do it in a flash."
We think it would be successful, what do U think?

uhh people did watch conan, and people loved him. he is not boring. i will watch him where ever he goes.
he could do them a lot of good if he would make fun of repugs and demos at the same time. my tv stays on until gretta goes off, but people would turn off after that if it was an obama propaganda show. i don't know that many people who are worried about losing everything they ever thought they could have would stay up to watch more fair and balanced comedy though (because they have to go to work). they could though because their "righter" shows are more popular now than ever: it could pull them a little back to the middle. the rest of the shows on other prime time shows are bland left shows nobody could possibly sit through on other networks. i don't think a right wing late night show would do them any good on fox late night- nor would a leftist show. they could do great with a late show featuring skits from both sides making fun of big government with prominent people lightening up the political process in washington using fox contributors and celebrities. probably much better than snl or letterman or leno.
I think alot of people love Conan. I think where ever he goes will be successful. Some people don't like him but alot of people love him and will watch him!

I've been watching Conan from day one in 1993, when I was a sophomore in high school. I don't care what network he's on, I just want him back! FOX, just do it!! You won't restrict him as much as NBC, so I am sure his show will be ridiculously hilarious!!
Why would they like to hire a whiney little bitch who at the moment something went wrong made a huge production out of it and wouldn't stop bitching endlessly and being public about it, not to mention being ungrateful publicly to said network. Why anybody is on his side i have no idea why.
I have zero respect for Murdoch and his organization but I think he's right to wonder about Conan. Conan is not funny and he's ugly. Not a good combination for a talk show host.

Murdoch is a douchebag but he's a master of his trade. So if he and his peeps think Conan isn't worth the money, chances are he isn't. Why would Fox want to pay Conan a high dollar for 3rd place? His rabid fans need to get in line with the dorks who petitioned Fox to bring back that awful Terminator show, or the ones who petitioned to get Jericho back on.

Look there are alot of mislead idiots who dont see what an ass and mockery he has made of himself, nbc, and his history of being host. he is like a loose cannon post bi polar, descruntled, (yea i have alot of mispellings!), unpredictable in the worst way-not comedic, and just a fool jerk selfish delusional LOON of a jackass. Look, there are alot of good talented people out there, just take the time to look. By all these mishaps with Conan isnt an accident, he is acutually sick of his job and Nbc hence his nasty public embarrassing way of acting out. I mean I feel embarressed for him and the network…sad. No one wants to watch let alone admit they watched Cocoa-nutass-Conan. Let him go…his expiration date has gone beyond sour!

He could not get big enough ratings on NBC to make it work. Not sure how it would work on fox. Especially since there would be more competition, with leno back in the late night slot. Fox's news is on at 10 pm so Conan would start at 11 pm. Which Leno just proved that no really wants that kind of TV(which is horrible at any time). Fox should just show reruns.

My being a Ferguson fan is irrelevant to Conan's looks. He's very odd looking and the dyed hair accenting his bald spot doesn't help him any. Worse, Conan's terrible at delivering jokes. He's much better as a straight man. I think he'd be better off sticking to writing.

Sounds like FOX is looking to lower Conan's price tag. They want in the late night game badly, Conan is their man and they know it.

Career suicide in my opinion. I'd watch the first week like everybody else but then I'd move on (like everybody else).
I think they'd let him do some more controversial type material. This is a guy who wrote for the Simpsons back in the days when they still pushed the envelope. If both he and Fox take some risks the show could turn out to be a big winner.

I'm with Ferguson!! Conan used to be funny back in the 90s, maybe if they brought Andy Richter back, but seeing as that won't happen I'll stick to Craig, he has the best late night show by far.
I love Conan O'Brien. Had never seen him til he took over the tonight show. I will admit it took me a few weeks for him to 'grow' on me, but he did!
We don't watch any late night shows now that Conan's gone. Jay Leno is so boring, same thing night after night. And David Letterman is just obnoxious, old and grumpy. I really hope Fox picks up Conan for late night!
The show might be successful for the first couple of weeks because people still feel sorry for him, but then his ratings will slip down to what they were on NBC aka the reason he got fired.
Conan is successful in late late night. Moving to Lenos spot was suicide cause people in their 40's and 50's want NOTHING to do with a tall goofy guy dancing with invisible strings..

I think he would be great on Fox. And lets not forget that Leno's ratings on his new show sucked too. But NBC chose to stick with Leno and dump Conan.
Of course it will be successful! For those idiots that don't know it, NBC only gave Conan 7 months to build a huge audience. It takes time and they gave Leno plenty of time to build his audience when he first started. FOX is a great fit!

let's see. at 11:30 pm, most people are ASLEEP, because they have to get up EARLY FOR WORK OR SCHOOL, so the viewership for cbs and nbc is a few million each, normally under 10 million total. SO, lets have FOX jump in. Fox has normally reruns of seinfeld or some other comedy, 30 minute show. Does the person watching fox stay on fox or go elsewhere? most likely go to cable, to nick at night, tv land, tbs, etc to find the same type of show they were watching. So now, cbs, nbc, and fox will now divide those under 10 mill. plus a few more that just don't change the channel. but in the end, instead of 10 mill divided by 2 now will be divided by 3. makes no sense. The advertisers, the ones that pay for this crap aren't going to pay more, they are just going to decide which, among the 3 they will pay for. and low and behold, if the ratings go down on ALL 3, the cheaper the commercials will be. so the only ones that will have a win win will be the advertisers.
I can't believe Fox would hire this stupid Brat, Look at the way he acted when he got canned with $45 million what a stupid Brat. If I were fox I would hire this brat on a week per week bases in this way they can turn off the lights and replace him with South Park and Famaily Guy if his ratings are in the cann

I love Conan, but FOX is the worst network out there. He is better than sharing a network with Sarah Palin.
Conan would fit right in there, because he really thinks he's fair and balanced.
