Because let's be honest - Grey's Anatomy has sucked for the last two seasons and Patrick Dempsey needs a reason to get up in the morning.

Walt Disney Pictures announced this morning that they have selected a writer and director to write a sequel to the successful live-action fairytale, Enchanted. The studio fully intends to pay up to get all the original stars and hopes to have the film ready for you pleasure by next year.

      I would have to disagree. Greys Anatomy has not sucked the last two seasons. I think that it is very good, and they have spiced it up!

      Patric Dempsey has plenty of work. He has 3 or 4 movies in the works and Grey's will get a few more seasons. Even if he did not have work he has made more then enough money to last a few life times.

      Re: tom951 – i completely agree. patrick dempsey is probably the one of the sought after actors right now. he has plenty of reasons to get up in the morning. grey's HAS been good this season and so was last season once the whole izzie/denny thing was resolved. grey's is probably a shoo-in for renewal next season. patrick also has a loving family to get up for and he has enough money from grey's to be set for the next few years. besides your mom and lady gaga who likes you?? patrick has millions of fans. he probably makes more per episode of grey's than you do in a year, perez. you're just jealous. personally if this movie is done right it WILL be a hit just like the original was and I can't wait. not everyone needs a ton of money to be happy perez

      And Greys has been freaking awsome the past 2 seasons!! I love it without Katherine Heigl and TR Knight! Now they have more time for the real stars of the show Ellen Pompeo, Sandra Oh, Patrick Dempsey, and Kevin McKidd!!

      Patrick is awesome but he is already committed to do "Flypaper" during his GA hiatus this year
      and is supposedly planning to do "The Art Of Racing In The Rain" during next years hiatus and since GA has been renewed thru season 8 I cna 't imagine when he would be available for this sequel.

      It is amazing to me how you have to say something shitty in every post you post.
      As you can see by the majority of the comments- Patrick Dempsey is a good actor, doesn't need a reason to get up in the morning and Grey's has NOT sucked.
      Patrick is a busy busy man and if he does this 2nd Enchanted it will be because he believes in it. I have never heard him talk so fondly of a movie as he has this one.

      Anyone that watches GA knows that it has turned a corner, especially this year. To say it sucked only the past two seasons is ludicrous. It really sucked seasons 3, 4 and most of 5. IW and TR are gone and thankfully KH has been MIA for most of the present season. EP. PD, & SO have finally gotten decent story arcs and it looks that JC and KC may also get some decent material.
