Jimmy Kimmel Live has been doing amazeballs in the ratings!
Last week, the show drew in their largest audience (1.72 million) in 9 weeks and it has increased viewership by 6% from this time last year. Also, Kimmel beat Jimmy Fallon for the 5th time in 6 weeks and even trumped Craig Ferguson across all key women demographics, which seems particularly unfathomable.
Keep it up and maybe one day, Jay Leno can take The Tonight Show away from you, too!

Jimmy Kimmel used to be sort of funny.
Now he just seems sort of sad and lost.
My husband and I watch JK every night. His opening segment is always way funnier than any stand up's out there - including Craig Ferguson, who is great too. JK ad libs and can think fast on his feet - there isn't a comedian to touch him at the moment. He will be a huge name in the next couple of years - go Jimmy, mwaaaahhhh!

Maybe his ratings are up because during his first half hour there is no Tonight Show to compete with? This has to be making a difference.
Be serious Perez. He's killing it? LOL now that's HIGHlarious. An audience of 1.72 is a good 3.3 million short of what Jay Leno was getting on the tonight show on average. Let's see how well Kimmel does when his leno jokes run out. Back to mediocrity no doubt.
I loved Jimmy until he attacked Leno. It was ridiculous: Leno got fired because Conan threatened to walk 6 years ago. Then Conan threw the Tonight Show into the toilet. None of it was Leno's fault. I don't think Leno should go back (who would want to work for NBC???) but Jimmy's attack was just stupid. Leno didn't cost Conan his job, Conan cost Jay HIS job, duh!
Day time soaps have more viewers. How is that killing it. Besides he has less competition since the tonight show is in reruns. You consistently come off has being totally stupid.
I think Jimmy is the best… then conan. Although, I like letterman when he busts on people. When I want comedy Jimmy Kills it!!

its just because he is actually talking about what people want to hear about, aka the truth. not to mention he is truly one of the funniest talk show hosts out there. ferguson gives the best monologues but kimmel consistently is the funniest throughout interviews and he is also the most real. he is my talk show idol C:
If Kimmel's your idol, then you must believe in keeping your expectations low.
Ferguson's a genius. Kimmel's not only a loser, he's a boring loser.
