Michael Jackson remains king!

This week, his concert film This Is It was the #1 best selling DVD in the country. An estimated 1.2 million copies have been sold to date, which is believed to be a record for first-week sales of a music film.

But could this be the end of MJ fever? With the DVD out and no more awards shows to pay tribute, will Michael begin to fade out now?

      Nobody else comes close to having this many albums in the Top 200 (a handful of artists have 2 albums). I firmly believe these sales do not represent MJs fans who have been there all along but a new generation discovering his music.
      Will MJ begin to fade out? hardly. Will his level of current fame wax and wane over the years, yes. He will always be the King of Pop.
      If I recall correctly Elvis himself just had two albums in the top 200.
      Personally I would like to see a tribute album of the quality of the Luther Vandross one from several years ago (only a double album) with a who's who of music with all proceeds to go to both the continued support of Katrina victims and victims of the Haitian Earthquake.
