Ne-Yo is backing Respect!, a non-profit organization aimed at ending domestic abuse and promoting respect in relationships.

The singer is donating the proceeds from his new single, Heroes, to the cause and made an example of the most recent public abuse case between Rihanna and Chris Brown.

"What happened between Chris Brown and Rihanna was unacceptable, and we need to all work together and make sure it never happens again, to anyone," preached the singer.

Damn right.

Your dick should sue for all the beatings it's going to have to endure when you're doing your boy band pedosearch.

AS LONG AS THERE ARE TEENAGERS, LUST, AND PASSION…WHICH SOMETIME LEAD TO ANGER, RAGE, AND FIGHTING…THERE WILL ALWAYS BE THIS TYPE OF VIOLENCE. GIRLS CAN BE JUST AS BAD AS BOYS ABOUT IT! BUT CHRIS BROWN WENT WAY TOO FAR AND DESERVES TO BE FEELING THE CONSEQUENCES IMO.

    11. 11

I also find Ne-Yo "MichelinMan" jacket Unacceptable! Shine, bro, shine!

It's really sad what she hadda go trhu, but I mean, commme onn.. its not like this is the first and last time a man is gonna hit a woman.. sad but true. And Im pretty sure that while Im writing this, some idiot of a man is hitting a woman.. and no one is writing about that..and why?? Cuz its not interesting when it happens to a "normal" woman.. You have to be fameous..

OLD NEWS… Ne-Yo needs to focus on his career instead of making lame comments about RiRi
      and BeatHerDownBrown's old DV dispute-

o will you shut the fuck up for goodness sake just move the fuck on leave chris alone its been a fuck year and your still bringing up this topic perez u probably have chris browns cd in your ipod u fat shit and ne-yo when this incident first happen u said chris was still your boy stfu u just want attention really a year later u wanna say something stfu everyone knows domestic violence is wrong and chris brown is 20 years old he made a mistake that will be a lesson so he can change get the fuck over it people

    17. 17

this is OLD. Chris Brown went to court, was sentenced, is doing his community service and has apologized. BUT hollywood and mario cannot let go. This case, again, was not domestic abuse, but a case of assult, and Rhianna was no angel herself, having been known to hit men herself. Ne-Yo needs educating. He is doing a disservice to all the women, and men, that ARE victims of domestic violence. AND WHY a year later? sales that bad for his single? MOST people in hollywood do very little for free-almost everything comes with some sort of attachment. Does he feel buy the single and maybe his album will sell? (he could not find a case of domestic violence that happened in L.A. in the last week or so? Does he not read the paper? and again, with Hollywood, through money at it, it will go away? Yes, money will help at the shelters, for the women to have somewhere to come, but it is not going to stop the violence. And men are not going to get it from the chris brown, rhianna story, because the story has flaws, holes in the story. there are hollywood stories throughout the years of dv-use them -dominick dunne's daughter was beaten to death by her boyfriend. Tina Turner had to endurn the rath of Ike for years. OJ beat his wife for years, etc. that are tragic, if he wants to use names. But pick up a paper and read… DV is ALWAYS in the paper and the outcome is usually very bad.

OMG, Perez are u really on this…I want to fight u but I guess its wrong to hit a girl.

    19. 19

Seriously , you all need to get over this incident between chris brown and rihanna.Everyone makes mistakes in life and he made his.Yes domestic Violence is Unacceptable and he's learnt his lesson, but he's tryin too rebuild his career soo let him! Chris brown is extreamly talented in everything and this is all that matters .Rihanna on the other hand just sings out of her nose .If you want real talent look at beyonce,Chris Brown,Leona Lewis,Michael Jackson … SO PEREZ HILTON STOP CALLING CHRIS BROWN 'Beat her down' get over yourself ! this incident happened LAST YEAR and your still going on about it …Talk about the music he makes not that mistake.

    20. 20

      marrry me ?

    21. 21

I think RiRi should be dating this guy instead of the losers she's choosing.

    22. 22

      Yeah Ne-Yo!!!
Doesn't matter when at least he did chime in.
Under NO circumstances should a man ever raise a hand to a woman, end of story!!!

    23. 23

I really wish someone would beat you down again…..

    24. 24

Hmmm…. he waited quite awhiel for that particular statement. Wasn't he working with Brown at the time on something? And I would love to see that bitch work with the same types of foundations since she continues to claim to be a "role model". Show it by doing it instead of paying lip service to sell albums.

    25. 25

Re: hateliars – Right on to everything you said.

    26. 26

    29. 29

i agree that what happend was unacceptable but please people…… LET IT GOOOOOOOOOO!!!! God im so sick and tired of hearin about the Chris Brown adn Rihanna incident……damn that wa a yar ago….we all know how he wa a role model and stuff for the community and blah blah blah…..i love Chris Brown to death and the sooner you simple minded people let this go…the sooner Chris AND Rihanna can move on with their careers and their lives…look at their album sales….they are HORRIBLE……its all their fans fault for just wanting something to be mad about…..gosh..
