Now this is movie worth waiting to see!

It's been quite awhile since a decent Muppets movie has been made and we can't help but be thrilled by the news that the newest Muppet endeavour, The Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made, may have found it's director.

Sources are claiming that James Bobin, co-creator of the HBO series The Flight of the Conchords, may be taking the job and finally get things underway with the script written by Jason Segal.

Though the deal isn't finalized, an insider says that the House of Mouse has said to James' people that the job is all his, if he wants.

Who wouldn't want to direct a Muppet movie is what we want to know?!?!

I just find it amazing that kermit and the rest haven't aged a bit…30 years have gone by and still look like they are.. uhm .. the same. they must have one of the better plastic surgeons in hollywood. Maybe Heidi should give the grouch or cookie a call and see if they will spill the beans on who they use. They look more natural than her, dickenson, rivers … most of hollywood. Heidi, give them a shout..

The Muppets rock! They always have, and they always will. Finally, a movie that I would actually take my daughter to see. Not the garbage (I'm looking right at you Avatart) that gets put out today. Long live the Muppets!!!

And BTW, has anyone else noticed that Sesame Street seems to be getting short on actual Muppets (and puppetry in general) these days? When I see some of it while my daughter is watching it, I see mostly all cheap computer animation now. Where the hell did all the Muppets go? Don't let Jim's dream go down the toilet for cheap effects to save money Hensen company. Keep it the way it was meant to be.

It's not about making a Muppet movie…it's about working for Disney. Nobody wants to work for them.

Love ANYTHING that Jason Segel does! Especially puppet-y things!

I loved the muppets growing up. The old muppet movies were fantastic - Hensen always did an amazing job. BUT the recent muppet movies (made for tv / straight to dvd) have been terrible… all made on a very low budget. If they took a little more time and invested more money then I think the muppets would be huge again, like they used to be in 80's… children and adults would love them again.
