The New Spider-Man? This Kid Is Replacing Tobey??
Has the new Spider-Man already been re-cast??
Logan Lerman, who looks about 12 and stars in the Harry Potter rip-off with Greek Gods instead of Wizards, Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief, is in talks with with Sony to replace Tobey Maguire in the reboot of the franchise.
Lerman says:
“There have been a few discussions, it’s definitely something I’m looking into.”
We don't really know much about this child, but we think it was a HUGE mistake to drop the ball on Sam Raimi's proposed fourth film!! How are they supposed to reboot the story, the first Spider-Man already set everything up just fine!
We'd even tolerate KiKi for 20 more sequels if it meant keeping the original films going! They should be BEGGING Raimi back!

Oh Please, Toby Maguire didn't even get in shape for the last movie, they had to put in him a phony molded suit and his double chin was still sticking out. Kirsten Duncet looked like the walking dead, and both of them acted like they couldn't give a shit about the movie. Dump them. Actors like them are no better than trained chimps. If there is a good plot stick some new blodd in there and the movie will do just fine.

Why is it a mistake. They are just starting over. The last one sort of sucked anyway. Tobey is getting to old. They are basically going to start over and focus more on the high school years. Which is great, since that was most of the comics I read when I was a kid. I cant wait. I wish they would release one every year.
The only connection between Percy Jackson & the Olympians and Harry Potter is that the director of Percy Jackson & the Olympians, Chris Columbus, directed the first two Harry Potter movies. Other than that, they are NOTHING alike.
And no I don't think this boy would fit as Peter Parker. But am I excited for a Spider-Man reboot? Hell yes! So glad they decided to get rid of Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Drunkst. Only reason I liked the first one was because Willem Dafoe and James Franco were really good. I do think they should bring back the girl that played Gwen Stacy though.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians is a great kids series of books! My 9 yr old son and I are currently on book 3 and they aren't comparable to HP. Logan is perfect for Percy, almost exactly as I pictured him from the books. Tobey Maguire was a very odd Spiderman choice, the jury is still out for me on Logan filling those spidey webs…..but so excited to see the Lightening Thief!

i agree with mercury9, the spider mans that were made by S.R were horrible. being the geek that i am, i hated the fact that they didn't play up the intelligence of peter parker when in 'reality' he was an uber geek and science whiz. he made the web shooters, they didn't magically come out of his hand like jiz. and toby was a horrible choice for peter parker. furthermore kirsten dunst is a nasty ass mary jane.

Spiderman movies sucked. The third one was even worse, if you could imagine that. Long, boring crap. They picked someone young to attract the younger crowd. Think Smallville and Superman.
Alright, alright- first off:
Logan is deff. an actor on the rise- he's starred in movies involving major names, such as Christian Bales, Gerard Butler, Jim Carrey, Mel Gibson and Jessica Alba just to mention some.
And even though I'm not sure Spiderman is a role that would actually suit Logan, I think it's unfair you judging him in advance. He could be great for all we know. And btw, he is 18. Your little Bieber for example isn't even 16 yet.
