A Star Is Born Remake?
This just sounds terrible! We hate when they start messing with the classics!
Rumor has it that Beyonce and Russell Crowe are up for the lead roles in a Warner Brothers remake of the Barbra Streisand classic A Star Is Born.
Beyonce is no Barbra (or Judy!) and Russell is no Kris Kristofferson, BUT we do appreciate that the pair of them would make for one of the most prominent on-screen interracial relationships since Whitney Houston and Kevin Kostner in The Bodyguard.
We like the diversity, but we don't know if we're on board with the remake.
No formal offers have been discussed yet, but Beyonce's been interested in this part for awhile and the studio is said to be very keen on Russell Crowe for the part.
Do U think this is a good idea?

Obviously you're not up on your Hollywood history. It's actually a JUDY GARLAND classic (and was a remake of a 1930's version) and considered one of her best movies. The fact that it was heavily edited is thought to have been the reason why she didn't receive the Oscar for it.

If you are going to hire other writers, you might as well pick people that actually write like you. No one from Miami is ever "keen" on anyone.
The lead character in a Star is Born needs to be played by someone with vulnerability and that is why at the time, Barbra was not successful in the part and Beyonce certainly won't be either. But this is what Hollywood does…rehash good movies with badly updated storylines and miscast leads.
Beyonce acting is never a good idea. POINT BLANK. She is cute, and has a nice voice in her own right but her acting is horrific. Has no one realized that she is basically the same character in every movie just different wigs though that changes alot.

All the actresses who played in the previous versions of "A Star is Born" were all " Pop Stars" in their decades. So everyone should just get off their collective high horses. I do agree though that Beyonce needs some acting lessons obviosly the people around here are lying to her to be kind or kiss asses. But Russel Crowe?!?! Some one must owe him a favor or something. But really I think this part I hate to say it might be better played by, don't be too harsh but Vanessa Hudgens!!! the male part should also be played by a thirty somthing male. She legal and with her XXXpublicity this would be a good way to bridge her teen to adult faze.the Svengali part of the male maybe an unknown. But I def think they should go younger for both roles!!!!!
Beyonce is NOT an actress. She is as wooden as Madonna, Mariah and Jennifer Hudson.
