21-year-old woman named Xiaoqing have met with plastic surgeons in Shangai in order to transform her face to resemble Jessica Alba. And the docs are gonna do it for free!
WTF?!
They must not have psychological screenings in China because she is doing this in an attempt to win back her ex-boyfriend by turning herself into his favorite actress.
"I love him very much…. that's why I always followed his opinions. I don't want to lose him," she said.

"I have made my decision," she continued. "I'm not only doing it for my ex-boyfriend, but for myself. I am a psychologically weak person. I want to do something to challenge myself and build a strong personality through it."
And how is changing yourself for someone else gonna make you psychologically strong?!
The poor soul will undergo an eyebrow lifting, eyelid reshaping and nose reconstruction.
"There's no worry about the expense and it is technically practicable," saud Liu Qi, an official at the Shanghai Time Plastic Surgery Hospital. "But the face-lift is irreversible and we hope that she would take it seriously."

Supposedly, Xiaoqing's boyfriend was a total dick and obsessed with Alba. He would make his girlfriend do her makeup like the celebutard even when she slept. He also got her a blond wig for Christmas so she would resemble the multiple photos he hung of Alba and the several pics on his cell phone.

I thought plastic surgeons have their patients undergo a psych evaluation before they do that kind of extensive surgery. This girl obviously has something seriously wrong with her, and it sounds like she was in an abusive relationship with a man who made her feel inferior to a Hollywood actress who is a completely different race than her. Yes, Jessica Alba is beautifully, but wanting to look like her in order to get a boyfriend back is beyond ridiculous. This is a really sad story. I wish Jessica Alba would meet this woman and tell her how bad of an idea this is.

This is so typical. A lot of men make their women feel as if they don't measure up, constantly comparing them to other women who they point out are "better". They do this primarly so their women won't realize how very imperfect THEY are. It's a classic psychological trick - point out the problems of others so they don't realize YOUR problems. Men who do this are INCREDIBLY INSECURE. B/c a secure man, if he thought his gf wasn't good enough they way she was, would just break up with her and find someone who he was happy with. Men who instead harp on their gf or wife's every imperfection do this so these women will feel like they somehow have to please their man instead of realizing what a loser he is. Or, men do this b/c although they are not happy with their woman, they don't think they can do any better. In either case, only an incredibly insecure man does this sort of thing.
I've noticed that some Asian people here in the US have gotten plastic surgery to look less Asian. The worst is definitely Julie Chen. She changed her eyes to look less Asian…check out her before and after pics, you would never know it was her. Sad.

Asian American women get plastic surgery practically as a rite of passage. The ones in the US have their eyes worked on to look more Anglo. If you travel to China, they tend to have more tilted eyes because less of them can afford the surgery. Next, they get breasts done in a bid to attract American men. Not to mention, all of the botox and other procedures they get done. It's been widely reported how they feel inferior and how the culture has become desperate to look less Asian. It's sad.
