After a preliminary hearing last fall, Howard K. Stern, Dr. Sandeep Kapoor and Dr. Khristine Eroshevich are scheduled to be back in an El Lay courtroom in August to face drug conspiracy charges.
The three have been accused of supplying the late Anna Nicole Smith with sedatives and opiates, and will face a jury of their peers starting on August 4th.
And their plea?
Not guilty.
Of course.

Since she's dead and you don't see her a lot you kinda forget she had a smile that was all gummy like a horse. Everyone forgets that Michael Jackson looked like some kind of movie freak. I guess it's good that they're dead because people forget they were kind of hard to look at.

The only person responsible for Anna Nicole is Anna Nicole. I'm sick of everybody penning their drug problems on everybody but themselves. Same goes for Michael Jackson. The doctors shouldn't have helped them get drugs, but they were going to get them one way or another no matter what.
Whatever happened to PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY?
Ok,I dont really agree with all this shit thats going on with people blaming other people for Anna Nicoles and Michael Jacksons death. Both of them knew exactly what they were doing,knew what they were taking,therefore it was their fault. REGARDLESS if these doctors didnt prescribe them these medications (except for Propofol) they could have easily gotten them elsewhere! (ie: off the streets) With me,being an ex pill junkie,I know that these days its easier to get pills ANYWHERE from ANYBODY so eventually she wouldve overdosed anyway. And I am in no way hating on Anna Nicole,I actually like the girl,but I really think other people shouldnt be put on the blame for this. Sure Howard K Stern was considered an enabler,but she manipulated both Howard and her female doctor into getting what she wanted

I really think they have good cases against the doctors. However, I don't think Howard K. Stern should be tried. If we tried and convicted every enabler, there would be many people off the streets.

I think this is brilliant! Sue them I say. It will set precedent for when I sue my local grocery store for supplying me with all of those Cheesies I so love and crave. Sadly they have caused me a large tush and cellulite. Cellulite! It's devastating and this is all obviously THEIR fault. Enablers, that's what the Grocer is. I just hope I can them "pre-humus", rather than post.

I think the cases are nessisary because it'll show doctors who become reckless just for extra cash from rich celebs. This should be a wake up call that people's lives aren't worth the extra cash no matter what.
Yes what both Anna Nichole Smith and Michael Jackson did was more their drug habit, a doctor shouldn't be feeding it to them fully knowing they have problems.
Oh come on now. The woman was an adult, same as Michael Jackson. Hell he was my age…..give or take a year.
A "jury of peers" is a myth. One is entitled to a FAIR & IMPARTIAL jury. Pass it on.

Re: smokeybear2269 – Thank god the voice of reason. I too liked Anna, but she was a queen bee manipulator. At best all Stern was is an enabler. No law against that. We only have millions of enablers running around in the US. You can not stop a drug addict. Only they can help themselves. I feel very sorry for Howard, becasue I really believe he loved her! I also think the so-called witnesses are lying!
Isn't it funny how in Michael Jackson's case, it took them ONE DAY to accuse someone of drugging him, where it has taken them YEARS to accuse some for Anna's death. How ridiculous. It's obvious they killed her, dead obvious. I mean son and her die of "Drugs," interesting! Anyways, you picked a horrible picture of poor Anna lol. She has way sexier ones!
I think its sad there is a trial at all. I totally agree with all those who say she was an adult and personally responsible for her drug taking actions. I know lots of people who take pills, many of them with prescriptions they don't really need. Thats their choice and their decision to go to the doctor and seek out the scripts and pills. If they abuse them thats their fault, their doctors shouldn't be punished. A doctors job is to give out medication, many people manipulate their doctors to get the meds they want. The docs shouldn't be punished because someone went to them seeking to manipulate them to get drugs. I'm sure if the doc would not have written the script they would've gone to different doctors or got it elsewhere but they wouldve got the drugs. An addict is responsible for themselves I hope these doctors are not convicted.
THIS IS INSANE ! The FACT that it is JUST NOW going to Trial it's INSANE! I guess we can be happy MJs DEATH is being vindicated well attempting and publicizing MJs DOC getting brought to trial for WHAT he did which is somewhat similar not the same but the same manner of drugging people and killing them and both these douches did feed them to the point of OVERDOSE its beyond insane the amounts of drugs and illegal prescriptions these twat druggies had when they died ! But seriously HE IS STARTING TRIAL SOON AND THIS IS JUST NOW STARTING SHE DIED HOW LONG AGO WHAT A FREAKING DISGRACE! I Hate that GUY HOWARD STERN I cant wait till he has to pay for what he has done! Re: SammiDe – I don't think that Stern did anything to Birkhead, as they have ended up being good friends. Anna was a beautiful woman. But she lead a very unconventional lifestyle where she spent a few years having 2 lovers at the same time, including taking trips together. All Stern did was try to claim a baby that could have very well turned out to be his. It just so happens that Birkhead's seed got there 1st. I do not think that Stern should be included in this lawsuit. It was, afterall, the doctors who wrote the prescriptions, not Stern. Anna, for all her beauty was a woman who had some mental problems, & some issues. I felt kind of sorry for her.

Anna had both Stern & Birkhead as her lovers in the last years of her life. They even took trips together. Anna was an unconventional woman with a very unconventional lifestyle. But I also believe that she had some mental problems, & other issues. I felt kind of sorry for her at the end. I do not think that Stern should have ever been charged in this. The prosecutors are making a big mistake.
When you have physicians doling out drugs with such wreckless abandon then something has to be done. These jokers need to be made an example of, and Stern should be a part of that example since he was in on the enabling. Hopefully this is a relatively easy case for the judges to rule on (I mean how much evidence do you need to see in order to confirm that this band of characters were void of ethics?) and the entire Anna Nicole Saga will be nearly closed. All that will be left is for the 9th circuit to rule on her ever-enduring estate claim against the Marshall family (likely in the Marshalls favor) and we'll have 100% closure.
