"Camp Jenny is a four day camp held over Memorial Day weekend at URJ Camp Coleman. It is sponsored by NFTY-SAR and NFTY-STR , and subsidized by Camp Coleman. Camp Jenny is run by Jewish youth from across the Southeastern United States. The campers are elementary-aged students from the inner-city of Atlanta. Welcome to our world, we hope you will grow to love this wonderful camp as much as we do."

can i just say, as someone who was lucky enough to be a volunteer at camp jenny before, that you so much for featuring it. It is truly one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had, and it means so much to the kids who work hard all year in school to be able to go to camp jenny. I can not properly put in words how important this cause is and how much good that it does. thank you again.
Thanks Perez!! My son has been a volunteer counselor at Camp Jenny for the past 2 years. It has been the most meaningful experience of his life. Camp Jenny was founded in 1988 in memory of Jenny Rosenthal, who was killed in a car accident at a young age. Jenny spent many summers as a camper at URJ Camp Coleman and was involved in youth group. The purpose of “Camp Jenny” was to provide a weekend at Camp Coleman for underprivileged children who have never had the chance to go to summer camp. Thanks to fundraising efforts of Temple Youth Groups in the URJ Southeast Region and generous donations from Camp Coleman, over the years, the numbers of campers have increased. Despite the fact that the entire staff is voluntary and must arrange for their own transportation to Atlanta, the cost to send one happy camper to Camp Jenny is still $400.00. Camp Jenny is a way for you to strengthen the life of one small child. We need your help!
