Anne Hathaway Left The Catholic Church For Her Gay Brother

Anne Hathaway has revealed that she and her family made the difficult decision to leave the Catholic church when Hathaway's brother came out.

"The whole family converted to Episcopalianism after my elder brother came out," Anne revealed in a recent interview with GQ. "Why should I support an organization that has a limited view of my beloved brother?"

Wow.

How incredibly touching!

But Anne soon found she wasn't comfortable calling herself an Episcopalian, either.

"So I'm… nothing," said Hathaway. "F**k it, I'm forming. I'm a work in progress."

Take your time, sweetie!

At the heart of evolutionary science is the basic idea that life has existed for billions of years and has changed over time.
      *
Overwhelming evidence supports this fact. Scientists continue to argue about details of evolution, but the question of whether life has a long history or not was answered in the affirmative at least two centuries ago.
      *
The history of living things is documented through multiple lines of evidence that converge to tell the story of life through time.
      *
There is Molecular evidence for human evolution.
      *
      Proven:
Humans share 99% of their DNA with monkeys.
Human share DNA with all life forms on earth from Plants, Rats, birds and dinosaurs.
      *
NASA and ESA have both documented the death of stars spew out atoms that are the building blocks of life. Just as All of the Hawaiian islands were formed by volcanoes erupting from the sea floor from a magma source. The death of these stars release the atoms that make planets, trees, thimbles, your left foot, etc. all these are the remnants of of these exploding stars.

Also proven is the fact that the story of Jesus is a copy of the story of the Egyption "god" Horus who's story was wrote durring the Predynastic Period…
Thats about 5500 before Common Era or 5500 BC for you.
      *
Plan facts.. With historic proof! Those damn pyramids and those Hieroglyphics…
The catholic church acknowledges the similarities between jesus and Horus
but claim he wasnt a virgin birth.. So the catholic church can read Hieroglyphics better then the experts ?
      *
      Conception:
      Horus: By a virgin.
      Jesus: By a virgin.
      *
      Father:
Horus: Only begotten son of the God Osiris.
Jesus: Only begotten son of Yehovah (in the form of the Holy Spirit).
      *
      Mother:
      Horus: Meri.
      Jesus: Miriam (a.k.a. Mary).
      *
      Foster father:
      Horus: Seb, (Jo-Seph).
      Jesus: Joseph.
      *
      Foster father's ancestry:
      Horus: Of royal descent.
      Jesus: Of royal descent.
      *
      Birth location:
      Horus: In a cave.
Jesus: In a cave or stable.
      *
      Birth heralded by:
Horus: The star Sirius, the morning star.
Jesus: An unidentified "star in the East."
      *
      Method of death:
      Horus: By crucifixion.
      Jesus: By crucifixion.
      *
      Accompanied by:
      Horus: Two thieves.
      Jesus: Two thieves.
      *
These are but a few of the comparisons I listed others ealier.

I know that there are setbacks with all the religions in the world, but the benefits are being ignored here… it gives one hope and faith really can heal some things that modern medicine can't. But there is no way to prove other then taking a leap of faith and coming up with evidence. So all in all. We can change the religion to accommodate and target things such as finding everyone some peace and happiness. If people find belief and have done well in life from where they came from then let them. But sure teach them also what are the practices that are outdated in this century and how we can change it for the better. anyways :D I'm buddhist and I feel great about this because I feel that I can be more tolerant and the main goal is to achieve my own happiness in life. Buddha says he is not our god, he is merely a teacher who shares his lessons to happiness if we choose to follow. Buddhist can find happiness even in as simple as a grain of rice. Just food and care for our bodies without extra things to tempt us.

    6. 106

As long as she finds a place in which she is happy, whether it is from religion or not, that's a great thing. Finding a tolerant religion or church is a difficult thing. I am truly happy my husband and I found a church that we're pleased with, we're proud Baptists, we accept everyone. One of my friends is atheist, another is a Jehovas witness, while others are Catholics and I love all of them just as I love God and Jesus. Good for everyone who believes and for those who don't, good for you too, if you're happy with your life, that's all that matters. We're no one to judge!

    7. 107

I love her, I am catholic but i totally understand why she did that, the catholic church can be so narrow minded and hypocritical, they say that god created everyone equaly but the treat gays and lesbians differently to everyone else. It isn't right.

    8. 108

      That's love !!!

    9. 109

      Aussieone, have fun in hell.

    10. 110

Re: Aussieone – It doesn't matter if you don't believve in satan or what… POint is you're an anti-christ. You'll know what I mean once you cross the bridge. You say God is fake? I've heard that too from the other non-believers like you… anti-christs like you!!! How dare you blaspheme Christianity and God himself!!! You are shameful!!! I really think the devil is doing a God job on you. It's not yet too late to re-think your life/ perspective on religion. There is no loss in believing in God.

    12. 112

To the Carrie Prejeans out there, all you so called "religious" people…you're not really about "faith" or God or love or any of that mumbo jumbo…you're all about using religion as a COMPETITION to uplift yourself while judging some other group to feel better about your own shortcomings. Thats what radical religious people have done from, the start of time…find a group they identify as "lesser than" and unite in hating them and feel better about yourselves in turn. It was first the pagens, then the witches and subsequent witch hunts, followed by jews and Hitlers Christian crusade of cleansing, then salvery was predominently supported by the most religious members of society taking biblical quotes to support it. Hstory has PROVEN this fact…right now the flavor of the week to hate and discriminate is gays…who's next? You may be surprised when you peace out only to realize this man made Bilical God you created wasn't the one out there…Carrie Prejeans; you CHOOSE to be religious.Gay people did not choose to be gay.If someone was inherently born the way they are, to discriminate against them under the law of the land in ANY shape (especially religious considering this is a government that is suposedly "seperation of church and state") is wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong WRONG. And will be stopped by rational, logical and loving, fair minded members of society (both gay and straight) like the lovely Anne Hathaway.

Re: Aussieone – Like I said, Have FUN in Hell when all of this is over. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin."

    14. 114

      Re: Aussieone
The bible has predicted the anti- christs like you too. So yea, I'm never shocked. You made your choice with things. The more you speak the more evident that satan is working well in your whole being. "Christianity simply does not make sense until you have faced the sort of facts I have been describing. Christianity tells people to repent and promises them forgiveness. It therefore has nothing (as far as I know) to say to people who do not know they have done anything to repent of and who do not feel that they need forgiveness."

    15. 115

Re: Aussieone – Don't even get me started with the darwin theory. LoL.

      Re: Wawawiwa – LMAO

    17. 117

Many organisms possess vestigial structures that have no apparent function, but that resemble structures their ancestors had. Humans, for example, possess a complete set of muscles for wiggling their ears, just as a coyote does. Boa constrictors have hip bones and rudimentary hind legs. Manatees ("sea cows") have fingernails on their fins (which evolved from legs). the skeleton of a baleen whale, which contains pelvic bones, as other mammal skeletons do, even though such bones serve no known function in the whale. The human vermiform appendix is vestigial

    18. 118

It is difficult to understand vestigial structures such as these as anything other than evolutionary relicts They argue strongly for the common ancestry of the members of the groups that share them, regardless of how different they have subsequently become.
Comparisons of the anatomy of different living animals often reveal evidence of shared ancestry. In some instances, the same organ has evolved to carry out different functions, in others, an organ loses its function altogether. Sometimes, different organs evolve in similar ways when exposed to the same selective pressures.

      Vestigial Traits in Humans
      *
Ear-wiggling muscles Three small muscles around each ear that are large and important in some mammals, such as dogs, turning the ears toward a source of sound. Few people can wiggle their ears, and none can turn them toward sound.
      *
Tail Present in human and all vertebrate embryos. In humans, the tail is reduced; most adults only have three to five tiny tail bones and, occasionally, a trace of a tail-extending muscle.
      *
Appendix Structure which presumably had a digestive function in some of our ancestors, like the cecum of some herbivores. In humans, it varies in length from 5–15 cm, and some people are born without one.
      *
Wisdom teeth Molars that are often useless and sometimes even trapped in the jawbone. Some people never develop wisdom teeth.

    20. 120

      Definition of Vestigial:
Relating to a body part that has become small and lost its use because of evolutionary change.

      Re: renesmeecullen
I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the other specific laws and how to follow them:
      *
      1. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odour for the Lord - Lev.1: 9. The problem is my neighbours. They claim the odour is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?
      *
      2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
      *
      3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness - Lev.15: 19-24.
      *
The problem is how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offence.
      *
      4. Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighbouring nations.
      *
A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?
      *

    23. 123

      5. I have a neighbour who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death.
      *
Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?
      *
      6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination - Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?
      *
      7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?
      *
      8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27.
      How should they die?
      *
      9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?
      *
      10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them?
      *
Lev.24: 10-16. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev.> 20:14)? I know you have studied these things extensively, so I am confident you can help.

    27. 127

and PS:I have a homosexual brother too, Anne. And that IS NOT an excuse for me to turn my back on my LORD and SAVIOR Jesus Christ and His Holy Church. I guess some people don't wanna hear the truth. Too bad for THEM.

Re: Aussieone – The thing with you atheists is you always take it LITERALLY. You don't have creative minds to dig deep. Whatevs, you are still an anti- christ and I am enjoying the view here on top as I LOOK DOWN ON YOU.

Re: Aussieone – you can use all the haffaluting word in the dictionary. You might sound clever and such but at the end of the day your just one of the many who got lost and thought: OH! What a wonderful life I've got you gotta wake up. Shame!

Ive read your silly little book you cant even defend it and you dont live up to it.
      *
You may want to re-read the following:
      *
You shall not hate your brother in your heart: you shall in any wise rebuke your neighbor, and not suffer sin on him.
      *
Matt 7:2-5 "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged [if we judge with an evil heart or dark intent, His judgment of us will reflect it; if we judge nobly with honesty and justice, His judgment of us will reflect that, too], and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you [if we use extremes or exaggerations or other ignoble means, our judgment will reflect it and judging with fairness and compassion will garner likewise in His judgment of us]. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye [point out his sins, "minor" in Jesus' example here] and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye [our own sins, even and especially those we will not admit, magnified by our selective blindness]? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' [tell him of his "minor" sins] when all the time there is a plank in your own eye [that there are greater or the same sins in our own lives which we do nothing about or think we are above]? You hypocrite*

Re: Aussieone – Looks like somebody is threathened here. Wonder who that antichrist is? hmmmm. I might have a very strong standing about Christianity but that doesn't mean I am perfect, stupidus. My point is, I am fighting bout what I believe in because that's what you call faith, dumb, dumb. Another funny thing bout you antichrist is it's always NOT ok to you when a Christian speaks up and stands for what he believe in. Y'all selfish rats! At the end of the day I get to have a decent sleep at night without worrying what would happen to me after all this is finished cause I know I believe in God all through out. Unlike you… pretending you don't really worry bout going to the river of fire but deep in your heart I know you too are scared. Even satan wouldn't wanna be where you'll be if you don't stop blaspheming God. You be the one to stop pretending. All I read from you if yadda, yadda, yadda, burp.
