Anne Hathaway has revealed that she and her family made the difficult decision to leave the Catholic church when Hathaway's brother came out.
"The whole family converted to Episcopalianism after my elder brother came out," Anne revealed in a recent interview with GQ. "Why should I support an organization that has a limited view of my beloved brother?"
Wow.
How incredibly touching!
But Anne soon found she wasn't comfortable calling herself an Episcopalian, either.
"So I'm… nothing," said Hathaway. "F**k it, I'm forming. I'm a work in progress."

I know that there are setbacks with all the religions in the world, but the benefits are being ignored here… it gives one hope and faith really can heal some things that modern medicine can't. But there is no way to prove other then taking a leap of faith and coming up with evidence. So all in all. We can change the religion to accommodate and target things such as finding everyone some peace and happiness. If people find belief and have done well in life from where they came from then let them. But sure teach them also what are the practices that are outdated in this century and how we can change it for the better. anyways
I'm buddhist and I feel great about this because I feel that I can be more tolerant and the main goal is to achieve my own happiness in life. Buddha says he is not our god, he is merely a teacher who shares his lessons to happiness if we choose to follow. Buddhist can find happiness even in as simple as a grain of rice. Just food and care for our bodies without extra things to tempt us.
As long as she finds a place in which she is happy, whether it is from religion or not, that's a great thing. Finding a tolerant religion or church is a difficult thing. I am truly happy my husband and I found a church that we're pleased with, we're proud Baptists, we accept everyone. One of my friends is atheist, another is a Jehovas witness, while others are Catholics and I love all of them just as I love God and Jesus. Good for everyone who believes and for those who don't, good for you too, if you're happy with your life, that's all that matters. We're no one to judge!
I love her, I am catholic but i totally understand why she did that, the catholic church can be so narrow minded and hypocritical, they say that god created everyone equaly but the treat gays and lesbians differently to everyone else. It isn't right.
