Miz Dolly Parton has received an offer from Jack White to produce her next record!

"I've thought about doing it… He (White) seems to be a fan but who knows. You never know what I might do," says Parton.

Dolly says she's "not opposed" to White producing the record, but that she usually has "a set notion of where I'm headed with a certain project and what I want to get out of it."

Do it! Do it!

      Um it'd be about as epic as his collaboration with Loretta Lynn. Which he's already done. I dunno how many older country acts can count on Jack White swooping in and making an ironic hit record for them, he doesn't seem like the type to do the same ol thing over and over again.

      God, some of your comments are idiotic. Why in the hell can’t Jack White work with both Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton? Loretta and Dolly, although in the country genre, are sometimes two very different artists (you’d know that if you actually listened to them) and it makes perfect sense for someone like Jack White (who is very knowledgeable about roots country, including bluegrass and folk music) to work with another rich storyteller like Dolly. I think his production would compliment her nicely, whether she’s looking to make a modern country record, a traditional bluegrass epic, country folk, or something completely different. Rick Rubin worked with every known black rap artist in the 80’s and has worked with Johnny Cash and The Gossip in recent years. Timbaland is a major producer who has worked with everyone from Justin Timberlake to Missy Elliot to One Republic. A good producer is a good producer, regardless of their artist.
