Selena Gomez paid mad props to one who came before her, the late, great Selena, by covering her track, Bidi Bidi Bom Bom!, last night at the San Antonio Rodeo!!

Who knew she could speak Spanish????

And do our eyes deceive us?? Is that Nick Jonas watching from the side stage?? Curious, very curious indeed!!

      With a last name like Gomez, you numbnuts, one would automatically assume that she has SOME familiarity with Spanish. Even if she doesn't, it's not hard to SING in another language; it's not hard to do a cover of a song in a foreign language as long as you pay attention to pronunciation.       I don't hate Selena in particular or anything, but she doesn't sound very good. I give her props for trying though! She seems really stiff & awkward on stage & she doesn't look happy. Nick, oh Nick, looks terribly bored & I feel bad that he actually had to go to her concert! He deserves someone so much better than her! Personally, I think they're "dating" for PR, b/c if they really were dating don't u think he'd at least try to look interested?? But, if they are dating, maybe they're going over a rough patch or are about to break up b/c neither of them look happy :/ but I hope everything works out in the end for both of them. I really just can't see Selena as Nick Jonas's girlfriend. 1: because he looks SO bored, 2: he is so talented, wouldn't he want a girl who had something to offer, 3: both of them seem way to busy to be dating!

      A lot of you are pretty rude and a little ignorant about the Gomez thing–like of course she speaks Spanish as her last name is Gomez. I live in North Florida and here there are tons of Gomezes or other Hispanic names…and very few people speak Spanish beyond an "ola" or a "cerveza por favor". It is similar throughout most of Florida, with the exception I guess in Miami where lots of people do speak it.
