Something's Missing…
If you skipped school or work today to watch re-runs of The Jersey Shore, you might have noticed something a little different.
Peel your eyes away from Snooki's antics for a second and you'll notice that the MTV logo has changed. Not drastically in the aesthetic sense, but something very important has been removed.
Almost 30 years ago, when MTV first started broadcasting, the tag line "music television" ran across the bottom of the MTV logo. Now, it doesn't.
It's a little change making a huge statement!
The network has finally realized what most of us have noticed for years: MTV has nothing to do with music. Now, its a place for guilty-pleasure reality shows and outlandish award shows.
So the change has been made. Duly noted.
Now, return to watching The Situation refer to himself in the third person.

Omg They had Trl and the canceled that that was the only show on mtv that had some shit to do with music,and then they had Alexa Chung but they canceled that too it was 30 minutes.I dont even know why artists even attend the VMA'S anymore .Fuse is like the only channel that has something to do with music

VH1 (Video Hits One) should change their name completely. They no longer have anything to do with video hits.

MTV hasn't been about music in over a decade. MTV still technically(sp?) plays music videos, they just air them at 4 in the morning when most people are sleeping so they can keep the title of MUSIC television based on that. Here's a thought though, maybe if people stopped watching all that damn REALITY bs MTV plays maybe they would get the hint and play music again. Sadly that won't ever happen, but it's a nice thought I suppose…
