Two Smokeshows Considered To Revamp Gunsmoke

The classic TV series Gunsmoke is making its way to the big screen and two fine actors are in the running to the lead, Matt Dillion.

Sources confirm that Brad Pitt and Ryan Reynolds are the favorites to land the role, with Brad having a background in wild west flicks and Ryan being so damn hot right now, you would have to be an idiot not to consider him.

Still, we think we'd rather see Brad do some gun-slinging.

everytime I look at Ryan Reynolds I hear Allanis Morriset wailing. Ryan ain't all that and he is too young to play Marshall Matt Dillon. The roll needs an actor with some maturity. I love Gunsmoke and would definitely NOT watch if they cast this Ryan guy. what movie was he in anyway-some dumb love story not worth wasting 90 min watching - I'm sure.

Selleck has more camera charisma, AND the maturity, and chops. Do they need someone a bit older? He's the total package, and can act circles around these two, imo. Some gray at the temples would be seriously believable.
