A Laverne And Shirley Remake With Who?
Oh Garry Mashall! Well, you got it half right.
While at the premiere of his new flick Valentine's Day last night, Garry announced some possible plans to revamp the hit TV show Laverne and Shirley with some of his VDay stars.
Jennifer Garner and Jessica Biel to be exact. And both of them are totally game!
Garry said:
"We're gonna work on that. My sister Penny and Cindy are gonna have a guest cameo. They're gonna walk "schlemiel, schlemazel" — or they're gonna get tired in the middle and sit down."
We're all for Jennifer showing off her cutesy comedic gold, but Jessica? Really? Is this just a ploy to get Timberpussy on the soundtrack? We bet if you just asked him, he'd do it. No need to ruin the whole picture.
Regardless, we'd probably see it.

which is going to play which? laverne and shirley where suppose to be young 20s (okay, laverne was over the hill) but, really jennifer garner? which one is she? I can see biel more. maybe justin can be squiggy? next marshall will do happy days again, and go off looking for the fonz and there will be mario here suggesting brad pitt for the fonz or that whole stupid group will get together convinced that they can pull it off-yeah with some make up, clooney as the fonz, brad as richie, etc.
Not sure at which part of that story I should start vomiting at…should I vomit as each shiteous detail is revealed, stopping between shitbits or should I just keep vomiting from start to finish…then there's the dilemma of what style of vomit; projectile or gagging/choking…what type of vomit; bile or carrot chunks
They'd be perfect together. Both are funny ladies and are great friends in real life. Great choice.

This was my favorite show as a kid, and I wish they would just let it live with dignity (if you could lend it so much respect considering it was just a ridiculous tv show) instead of going down in flames along with Biel's career.

L&S were in their 20s. J Garner is NOT. Also, L&S were supposed to be average-looking, working-class women. Jennifer Garner is above-average as is Jessica Beil. Ann Hathaway as Shirley would be perfect. Nothing can beat Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams, though. I don't care that they hated each other off-screen—on-screen they were comic gold together.

One day I was at Whole Foods in L.A. right behind Jennifer Garner with her little girl and all I have to say is what a beautiful natural beauty! No make flawless skin and if I was lucky enough to be married to her we would have 10 kids! Ben is one freaking lucky guy………

These actress's won't be able to pull it off. I don't think they are the right ones for the parts. I would think Gary Marshall would want to get it as real as the original sitcom as he could. We will see if this does indeed happen.
