Angelina Heads To Haiti
After spending Sunday afternoon with her partner Brad Pitt and son Maddox at the Super Bowl in Miami, Angelina Jolie set aside the fun and got down to business.
The United Nations Goodwill Ambassador made her way to the Dominican Republic on Monday to visit Haitian kids being treating at the local hospitals.
And being Ange, aside from touring the hospital and visiting with the patients, she also met with Dominican President Leonel Fernandez.
But Angelina's travels won't end there. Today she's set to arrive in Haiti!
Jolie and Pitt have already donated $1 million to aid the Haitian victims, but no word yet on what exactly Jolie will be doing during her current visit.
Her donation was help enough, but now visiting Haiti and helping out even more?

I know one thing: I wouldn't presume to meet with foreign heads of state, and I wouldn't pander to the cameras. She's a home-wrecking, overpaid whore who is, for the more part, box-office poison. If I'm going to look up to someone, I expect that someone to be worthy of respect. Jolie isn't that person.

I know Haiti is the hip cause to get attention on yourself in hollywood and that's all 99% of them are looking for. There's nothing like using a suffering group of people to make yourself look good in what is consider the media today. Let's not forget all this free medicine DONATED to Haiti is being SOLD by most Haitian doctors and hospitals to those who are suffering. On another interesting note Rape wasnt illegal until 2005 in this country. So, you may feel bad for the people of this country truly suffer but this govenment is f**ked and you are supporting them.

What an attention-wh-re. A recent study concluded that helping others and giving to charity isn't as selfless as people think. In fact, it feeds one's ego and gives them a sense of importance. That's not to say that there aren't truely selfless people that don't help others and give to charity, but the truely selfless ones don't publicize it. It's the ones who do it for selfish reasons who publicize it and have to let the whole world know how awesome they are. Angie came to mind. She can't help others without publicizing it and adding to her sense of self-importance. I bet she would put out a press release if she gave a dollar to a homeless person. Seriously. All the attention-wh-ring celebrities do in the name of charity is starting to get really tacky–Angie being the leader of the pack in this new trend. If you're gonna help others, then help them and shut up about it!

We've had it hammered into us that they DON'T need our presence there right now unless we are a trauma nurse or doctor or can in some other way provide actual physical assistance. I can't imagine what ANY celebrity could bring, other than to get in the way. Good on her for raising money, tsk tsk to her for trying to burnish her "saintly" image by her unnecessary presence in a disaster zone.

And for those ignorant people out there who think a woman can wreck a marriage, let me tell you from experience, it's the man who decides to leave a marriage usually because he isn't getting something he was anticipating when he made the vows. It's disrespectful to Brad to think that he didn't tell Jennifer what he wanted. It was Jennifer's decision not to fulfill that commitment. And we all saw the pictures of Brad and Jennifer on that island when he decdied to end the marriage. He wanted to be more, and she wanted to use his name to enhance her movie career. Angelina has continued her philanthropic endeavors, and now Brad has gotten more worldly. They have 6 beautiful children, several great homes and incredible careers. I just want all of you to know, when you meet a man, don't lie or pretend to want the same things. If you do, he'll figure it out, and he will find someone who wants the same things. I am all for helping the needy but why is it Angelina and Brad show up and they are saints but half of Hollywood have a fund raiser for this poor country and they hardly get recogonized for their efforts. I know that Jennifer Aniston and others made tremendous donations and they did it as a whole and pulled together to do so and these two show up just to be recogonized as the savior of all problems. I realize they have done alot of good but what about the others that have helped in one way or another? These two are just grandstanding for their own political balance in Hollywood and the whole USA. I like to call this control damage on their part.
