Jackson Family Outraged Over Charges
As Dr. Conrad Murray was arraigned on charges of involuntary manslaughter for the murder of Michael Jackson, the family of the King of Pop are furious that he was not brought up on harsher charges.
"He's a monster," said Michael's mother, Katherine.
"This charge is a slap on the wrist," said Joe's attorney, Brian Oxman. "There's great disappointment here. [Conrad Murray] should've been charged with a higher degree of responsibility. What he did was reckless. It was a disregard for human life."
And they are all on the same page, which is rare for the Jackson clan.
“Michael was murdered and although he died at the hands of Dr. Conrad Murray, I believe Dr. Murray was a part of a much larger plan," said LaToya Jackson. "There are other individuals involved and I will not rest and I will continue to fight until all of the proper individuals are brought forth and justice is served."

The Jackson family is disgusting. Michael Jackson WAS ADDICTED TO THE DRUGS THAT KILLED HIM. He had built a tolerance to the drugs and the final dose killed him. That's a fact! He went to rehab for this! Sad but true. He also DEMANDED the propofol and hired the doctor to get him those drugs. MJ holds some responsibility as well. God people.
He's an enabler, he's a money whore, he fucked up, but he's not a monster. Jackson was the addict. His family may have tried an intervention but obviously they didn't try hard enough. They were on the money train too. If it wasn't Murray supplying MJ's habit, then it would have been any number of other shady doctors wanting a ride on the gravy train. I'm surprised though that the charge wasn't something like negligent manslaugter or negligent homicide, but in the end it was MJ's own demons that caused his demise and Dr Murray was the catalyst.

Yes MJ had a drug habit but it's Conrad Murray that took a Hippocratic oath to aid people in need not take advantage of them. What Murray did was both morally and legally wrong and he deserves to go to jail for Murder but unfortunately he won't because the US legal system is screwed up and lets Murderers run free.
Michael wasn't murdered because Dr Murray didn't have the intent to kill. Manslaughter is an appropriate charge and he should have his medical license revoked in the US.

The charges against Murray are appropriate because he should be charged with assisting someone to kill themselves. He knew the risk as a physician and let money get in the way of his better judgement. To try him for murder would have been impossible. To charge someone with murder you have to prove intent, malice, and they did not have the proof. Michael was this guys meal ticket. If anything, he would want him alive in order to keep bringing in the 140k a month salary. So it made no sense to try to charge him with murder. Manslaughter was perfect. Hopefully this will force doctors to say no to celebs wanting out of the ordinary care. just like Britney Murphey. I knew before the coroner released their report that it had to do with prescription drugs. thats why they asked if she went to other doctors. they probably found a high amount of prescription drugs in her system and no script from a doctor.. I adored Michael Jackson and I don't mean to speak poorly of the dead, but he hired Dr. Murray to administer drugs that in and of themselves are to be used only in a hospital setting and are very, very dangerous. Stop attacking the family! If a close member of your family died (the same way) most of you would say the same thing. My point is they are still grieving and they are emotional like any other family would be. Whether you like Michael or don’t, he is still their brother, father and son! Personally the right charges were given to the Doc. But I do hope he loses his licences at least! This doctor inserted MJ powerful drug and left him unattended. Conrad Murray should be congradulated and honored for his role in ridding the world of a charletan, even if by accident. Although this "doctor" is wretched, he is a scapegoat for everyone else, including the MJ himself and the family. They ALL allowed this to go on because they all lived off Michael's fame and money. This wasn't the only doc he was getting drugs from and he if it wasn't him, it would have been from another doc. They all got paid to say YES to Michael's demands and give him what he wanted.

Michael Jackson is to blame for Michael Jackson's demise; if not Dr. Murray it would have been someone else. I was fired from working for a VERY famous celebrity b/c I wouldn't get a prescription for Aderrall (sp?) in my name for him. Dr. Murray will lose his license and spend time in jail, and he should for violating his oath and being an idiot charmed by the cult of celebity. Ultimately MJ wuld have founf a way to get his fix.
They can't charge him with murder. He didn't have INTENT to kill. It wasn't PREMEDITATED. Obviously some people don't understand the law. I'm not on the Doctor's side, he obviously should not have administered those drugs as propofol is used in surgeries and an anesthesiologist is suppose to be present to monitor the patient. That was negligence on the Doctor's part. Unfortunately, Jackson had a high tolerance to the drug, he demanded more and ultimately died. There were many others involved and this Doctor is the fall guy, he should be charged and he is, but he cannot be charged with murder. Others involved should be charged as well. Let's all be honest, this was GOING to happen eventually, Jackson was ADDICTED. If this Doctor wasn't the one to administer the drugs, Jackson would have found someone who would. In the end, it was not murder.
Murder would indicate that Dr. Murray purposefully killed Michael. Somehow I doubt he wished to murder his never ending meal ticket. Michael paid that man loads of money for the drugs he provided, why would Murray want to end that? Sorry Jacksons, it wasn't murder. Get over it!

Im my opinion, while I do like Michael and think he was innocent of what he's been accused of, I do have to say Dr. Murray is responsible for Michael's death and should loose his license, BUT Michael is the ruination. Dr. Murray took an oath that he would practice medicine to help sick people; he aided my Michael's drug addiction, and what he was doing while administering the propofol was undeniably negligent. While I do understand that Murray was wrong to give Michael the drugs, no one put a gun to Michael's head and made him ask for the drugs, yes he had a terrible life, but still, their is no 'excuse' for drug abuse. Had Michael not gotten the drugs from Murray, he would have gotten them from someone else, Murray was the fall guy. I agree with the family 100% Murray should have been charged with more. He was way out of line and didn't adhere to the oath he took at all. I don't care what Michael asked him for. Michael asked him for one of the only things that helped with his insomnia but it was Murray's job as a professional to say no due to the risk. What makes it even worse is that he not only gave him the meds. but he gave it to him w/out proper backup in case something was to happen and he gave it outside of a hospital setting which is a big no, no. Then this "Dr." leaves the room for what he says is 2 minutes, comes back and see's Michael not breathing but somehow didn't manage to call 911 until about 2 hours later.. What in the world was he covering up? He was wrong. He knew he was wrong and he was trying to buy time to try and get him out of hot water. Michael had a dependency on something introduced to him by professionals to help w/ his sleep. Contrary to what you all say Michael had no problem as he did in the past with prescription meds. Had he had an addiction those meds. would have been all up in his system. The only things in his system was from what Murray had administered to him that day and the night before. Murder in the 2nd degree is what he should be charged with.
BTW who are all you for criticizing the Jackson family for wanting justice for their loved one?? I'm sure if you were murdered by your "Dr." or anyone else for that matter you would want your family to fight for you as well…

Michael J was a HUGE druggie and Dr Murray was being paid to do what that idiot druggie wanted him to do. If it wasnt Dr Murray it would be someone else. And he had other drs in the wings writing shit for him too.. He was a drug whore plain and simple. He had enough cash to \buy the good shit too

Once again I will bring to your attention that Michael was in emotional and physical pain during that time. Like many other human beings who suffer from those things, he turned to self medicating to dole the pain. He was targeted and accused of something that was further from his mind. He was in physical pain from wear and tear that his body had endured. He was introduced to prescription meds (in which at first he refused to take) back when he was severely burned. What are you trying to prove sticky_and_slanderous?? other then your slanderous/false comments about Michael, all the other stuff you talk about only humanizes him that muc more. Let's talk about some of Madonna's humanly addictions next why don't we??
Murray might not have woke up that night before or that morning with the plan of murdering Michael but the fact is that his negligence as a professional did take the life of his patient. Even if this weren't Michael who was the victim and it had been your mother, father, sister, or brother I would still think the charge of involuntary manslaughter is too low of a charge. He voluntarilly took that oath, he voluntarilly wrongly medicated Michael and all the other skecthy things he did following the time he noticed his patient was no longer breathing he voluntarilly did as well. If a doctor was in a hospital performing surgery with the proper percussions in place and everything safe for that patient set in place yet that doctor botches the surgery which claims the life of that patient then I would consider that an accident that might fall under "Involuntary." But then again based off of some of the outlandish things that some of you are saying, you would place half or more then half of the blame on the patient right? Because at the end of the day they knew of the dangers?? They asked for the surgery right?? They asked to die? *rolls eyes*

The audacity of some of you to also say that Michael "asked for it." Or he wasn't "thinking about his children." Michael's children meant the world to him. He had alot to live for so how can you say that Michael wanted to die? We do things on a daily basis without thinking that, that could possibly take us away from our children and family. You take a chance anytime you take any kind of medication whether it be prescribed or over the counter. So with that being said, remember your taking a chance when you get in your car everyday. You could possibly be involved in an accident whether you be the cause or not that can end your life and take you away from your children. How horrible of you to take such a risk that could take your life and hurt your loved one's right? People going in for cosmetic surgery should be ashamed of themselves because they're putting their vanity over the love of the children and family members right? Michael had a serious sleeping problem that even some of you on here can understand. He was embarking on a long and hardworking journey and shame on him for wanting some rest? He enlisted the help of a "Dr." who he thought he could trust. Too bad that "Dr." wasn't too trustworthy. I don't care what a patient ask for. It's that Dr's job to keep that patient safe.
I am sick of people saying that Michael Jackson was a drug addict. Yes, he had problems with prescription drugs in the past BUT if you look at the coroners report the only drugs found in his body at the time of death were the ones Dr Murray agreed he gave him!! the Coroners report shows that MJ was clean from anything other than the drugs administered by Murray.
so you lot who thinks murray has done nothing wrong would be happy for him to sedate you yes? yeah right…

If Murray had administered to some of the addicts on here ( the drug addicts, the Michael Jackson hating addicts) it would make no difference then him administering to Michael. Either way it still goes against the oath..

it dosnt matter if there was a hundred doctors queing up outside MJ`s home all clutching their supply of propofol, the fact is dr murray was the one who administered it so therefore he is the guilty one… and if dr murray didnt do it and it was someone else then they would still be in the same hot water that murray is in now.
and for all you who think this shady doctor has done nothing wrong - i dont believe for one minute had a doctor done this to your fathers you would have the same attitude as you have now…

We have lost to many talented performer through the years because doctors being money hunger someone has to pay and be made an example of. Beside he should pray he goes to jail because mick has alot of upset fans that are out for blood and revenge if he does't go to jail the crazy die hard fans will make his life a living hell.
