Probably because they didn't fire her!

Ashlee Simpson gave her last high-kick as Roxie Hart in Chicago a few weeks ago and to celebrate she threw an impromptu party for the entire New York production crew!

Bidding a fond farewell on good terms, Ashlee had hubby Pete Wentz clear out his Manhattan bar, Angels & Kings, on a Sunday night so all of her castmates could enjoy a surprise bash.

How nice!

Kissing ass works sometimes a lot in this business!

      Because she had a rhinoplasty (which is very obvious) she had her chin done too, so it didn't look so long, like before. Because she had her chin done, it makes her appear to have a very giraffe-like appearance. It's very sad because here is a woman that preached about loving yourself and being happy with how she looks, but yet she goes out and gets plastic surgery in an effort to look better than her sister. It's almost like it was a competition. I don't want to be mean, but I honesty think she is the type of person to go overboard with cosmetic surgery.

      i would just like to say that I saw her in chicago on sat night (sunday was her last performance) and she BLEW ME AWAY! she is incredibly talented. she can sing and dance and she looked fabulous. I am now a huge fan. Seriously- of anyone else out there saw her on broadway, give her a shout out! Way to go ashlee! you did an amazing job!!!

      I saw her live last week in Chicago at the Ambassador Theater. She needs to stick to that kind of entertainment, she has a great stage presence, her dancing really surprised me and I did not know she could sing live like that -she really belted out those songs and she was fantastic as Roxie Hart!!! The only negative: overdid it on the facial expressions. Other than that she was wonderful!!! I wish her continued success on Broadway.
      P.S. She's actually quite pretty but she's a little too skinny now, thus giving her that long-neck feature.
