First Playboy and now Hooters!
The popular hot wings (served with a side of tittays) food chain is having financial troubles and looking for prospective buyers!
Sales have been sagging due to the recession and usually NOTHING is sagging at good old Hooters. Analysts estimate the chain could sell for more than $250 million.
This isn't the first time Hooters has faced business troubles. Hooters Air was only flying high for about three years before going under and the Hooters Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas isn't doing well either, to which the Hooters restaurant chain receives a royalty fee for the use of the name.
We have a feeling someone will snap up the Hooters chain before it goes tits up — it's an American institution!

I was a Hooters girl for a year and a half and am currently in college and about to graduate with my Business degree and i'm getting a second degree in Nutrition. Most of the girls are also in college. I consider myself to be very educated…obviously you are not. It's not just looking good in a pair of shorts and a tank top its also about the way you carry yourself and your personality…thats how you make $$$. You can't just be pretty…trust me the pretty but dumb ones don't last long…you have to be smart enough to work your tables and carry on a fun conversation. But continue to make ignorant generalizations…hate on!
As for Hooters being sold…that doesn't surprise me. During the year and a half that I worked for the company I went through 4 store managers…each one dumber than the next. I've been to Hooters before and I know that it's no strip club, but over here in Australia it's considered to be quite tacky and retarded, particularly if you work there. I couldn't think of anything worse than being creepily undressed by some middle-aged bald guy's eyes.
It makes me laugh how they're trying to promote it to be a "Family Friendly Restaurant". Ok, so the girls working there aren't spreading their clams out for the world to see, but FAMILY FRIENDLY? C'monnnn….
My neighbor owns two Hooters and he is a scumbag.
It is a scumbag corporation that exploits women.
It is basically a strip club where the women keep their clothes on.
The women that work there are decent hard working women.

The Hooters whore house closed down in Pasadena last year. No one cared for the useless restaurant that served crappy food and had butt ugly hooker girls as servers. Good riddance!

DO NOT EAT AT HOOTERS VEGAS. WE HAD FOOD POISINING FOR THREE DAYS FROM THE CLAM CHOWDER. THE FOLLOWING YEAR WE STAYED AWAY FROM THE SOUP AND JUST ORDERED WINGS. THEY WERE "SENT BACKS" FROM ANOTHER TABLE, RECOOKED AND RESEVED TO US! NASTY.

Re: yeah_courtney – I agree that its ridiculous that they're trying to make it into a family restaurant but you would be surprised how many people bring their kids in. And yeah…sometimes there are creepers but most of the time its young guys, grandparents, women, couples…you get EVERYBODY despite the common belief that it's only creepy old guys. One of my favorite regulars was this really fun outgoing mid thirties COUPLE that tipped amazing. Even if I wasn't their server they'd tip me just for going over to their table and talking to them. And by the way…I have been told I'm not ugly…haha!
