We had always wondered what happened to him, but it's not a huge surprise!
Wes Bentley from American Beauty fame disappeared from the Hollywood scene shortly after he hit it big because he found a more appealing option - DRUGS! The recreational drinking and marijuana from his youth spiraled into cocaine, Ecstasy and eventually heroin. Addiction ruled his life for years!
The actor, who is currently in the middle of a divorce from actress Jennifer Quanz, whom he wed in 2001, is recovering and back to his craft. And now he's starring the in the Off Broadway play, Venus in Fur.

He wasn't out of the acting scene. He was in Ghost Rider, P2, and The Last Word to name a few.
I like him–I hope he does well.
Friend of mine worked with him on Ghostrider. He was a massive coke head on that shoot apparently and had to keep it secret from his wifey who was totally anti drugs. He also liked partying with the ladies while in town so she's probably better off.
Don't take heroin kids - it WILL fuck up your life.
He's similar to the one on 'ric h ki ss c om'. But I'm not sure. Many celebrities have found fun or love there. He also has many fans there. Seems he made several good friends there.
he has a girlfriend now. I met them. They have been together for a bit and she helped him with rehab. He seemed really into her. But who knows.

When I first read about his past troubles and recent comeback a while back, I was really happy for him. Saw the show last week - he and Nina Arianda are excellent! Sad to see this piece just dwells on his past troubles and not his current reviews.
addiction takes many paths and not everyone comes back from it. good to see him clear eyed and encouraged for his future.

actually, he had a main roll in "the Four Feathers" too, and that was a pretty big film with Kate Hudson, Heath Ledger, and Djimon Hounsou, and that was only a few years ago.
I'd go see him in Broadway. He was great in American Beauty and let's face it…he's pretty hot.
