Alec Baldwin Threatened To Take Pills?
Poor Ireland!
First he calls her a pig and now he threatens her that he'd take pills?
The police have revealed that Alec Baldwin's daughter Ireland told 911 that the actor had threatened to take pills, presumably implying a suicide attempt. However his rep says:
"This was a misunderstanding on one person's part. Alec was quickly released from the hospital he's completely fine and will be at work today."
We understand Alec has issues and that his divorce was a big hot mess, but he really needs to work on leaving his 14-year-old daughter out of it!
We have a feeling a lot of his anger is directed toward his ex-wife Kim Basinger and as for Ireland, she shouldn't have to deal with this kinda BS at her age and from her father no less!
Get it together, Alec!

Amen tx2calgal. Why do these "Hollywood" parents(?)procreate? First we're hearing Jerry Lewis completely abandons his youngest due to a drug issue and not being born a girl. And I think it's a safe assumtion despite the telethon's that Jerry Lewis is one angry guy. Now we've got another angry Alec Baldwin and his slightly spacey, ex Ms. Basinger, whose child has to live with this kind of publicity. In five years is Ireland the one with the drug issue? Without tons of therapy it's hard not to see this as a huge "YES" coming.

I've always thought Alec was a DIVA, but I had no idea he was so entirely irresponsible when it came to his kid! If he really did pass out and was unresponsive, it may be she saved his life by calling 911. He's just mebarrassed. That little girl has two adolescent jerks for parents. It's ashamed she isn't allowed to be a kid because she has to keep an eye on him and his tantrums.

He's kind of off and the mother is really a psycho so this girl is sort of doomed. She's reallly tall though. If Alec was going to take something like Zanax and he has some extra could you give him my phone number?
I don't watch 30 Rock because Alec Baldwin is on it and I avoid anything else he's involved with. I've done that ever since the "pig" incident. People don't change, and anyone who thinks–even once–that it is ok to speak to a 14 year old girl and threaten to come across the country to beat her is someone who will NOT change. No matter what kind of media tour he goes on, he will never convince me he's anything but a HORRIBLE father. This latest incident does not surprise me at all–I knew something like this would happen again. It's a shame that in our country an adult can file an order of protection against a person like Alec Baldwin, but if you're his kid we force you to be tortured by him. Love and prayers to his daughter.

Who knows what actually happened, but if it was something bad, I hope it was a wake up call for him. I love Alec and his daughter did the right thing by calling an ambulance. Kids have to look out for their parents sometimes, too.

I grew up with a mother who was bipolar. She threatened suicide a number of times and once I had to knock the pills out of her hand. She could also be also loving and nurturing and unconditionally supportive of me — when she had the capacity to do so. I would do anything in the world to have her with me now. I obviously don't know anything about Alec Baldwin's psychological state but it seems like a situation that calls for compassion — for everyone in the family.

Both parents are manipulative to the extreme. I feel for Ireland.
He's got the gig to emcee the Academy Awards in March, and his career as a deadpan comedic actor has been ballooning, so why would he do this? He needs to knock it off. Get help. If this is true, it's making it look like Basinger is right.
so, in other words–the "rep" is stating ireland was not understanding the situation correctly. i mean your either threatening suicide or your not. why do they have to blame it on her. daddy needs to stand up to his anger once again.
