      John Mayer should be judged by his craft, not his opinions. He has the courage to speak what he thinks. If it was misinterpreted as being racist that is a reflection of those who judged him for his opinion about himself. He speaks about his relationships within the black community and his sexual prowess. Opinions about himself, where's the harm in his candor? There is great truth about who he is. I respect his candor. Would it be better if he lied to us all? Does it change his ability as a musician? Really what does this Playboy article have to do with his craft, bupkis!!!

      I believe his reputation as a musician is stellar which provided his access into the predominately black music industry that is blues music. Let us remember who has performed with him B.B. King, Alicia Keys, Kayne West, Jay Z, Buddy Guy to name but a few black musicians that shared the stage with him.

      We are so quick to judge…….ask yourself what was his intention. He wants to be an accepted brother in the black community. That was the intent in his phrase.
