Michael Jackson To Be Featured In We Are The World Remake
Lionel Richie has revealed that Michael Jackson will posthumously appear in the 25th anniversary remake of "We Are The World" with his vocals and video footage from the original remastered for the new version.
What is particularly touching is that the video will feature Michael in a split-screen with sister Janet Jackson. Says Lionel, "She's singing with Mike. It was all put together with fabulous choreography. It's magical."
In fact Michael's mother Katherine Jackson put the request in herself.
The single to benefit Haiti is due out shortly and Lionel explains the re-do:
“When you say you’re going to redo, it conjures up all kinds of terrible images of what could go wrong. Everything could go wrong! Once we got there, we realized, who do we give the power to?
"A totally new group. And we put the icons in, of course — Tony Bennett, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion — because that’s the ground floor of what will make the excitement come from the newer people, to stand next to those people.
“Snoop was having the best time of his life, just standing there next to Tony Bennett and Barbra Streisand. It was just a wonderful group of people together.”
Snoop and Barbra? This could be good!
But either way it's going towards a good cause that everyone should support!

You know absolutely nothing about Michael or his music obviously. Michael loved all music and because of that he tended to incorporate the music he liked to listen to into the music he wrote. He was an artist who could do a very RnB song like "Lady in my Life" and then switch it to a "Dirty Diana" or "Give into Me" He loved all kind of music and one of his favorites was classical music. So someone who grew up on some folk and country and then writes songs that can fall under the pop, rnb, and rock (just to name a few) categories in your opinon is someone who didn't expand his reportoire huh?? You really don't know his music at all.. but that's ok, plenty of other people do.
