Hey everyone. For the record the title is La Hora de VolveR (with an R at the end)

Lay off the blow Perez. The typos and misinformation are really wearing me down.

    2. 2

It's a guy and the song is terrible.

    5. 5

      W.T.F.

    6. 6

Reminds me of a mexican slum

    7. 7

Is not a mistake. The right spelling is VolveR with the R, but the word Volvé its on the name of the song like that, its on purpose.

    8. 8

    9. 9

I love the androgynous look and the voice is fantastic.

    10. 10

It wouldnt be Perez Hilton.com without poor grammar, bad spelling or wrong facts.

Actually it sucks and she looks like a dude who wants to be a she.

      Better than SLIMEY though

    12. 12

I didn't realize Mr Spock had a child.

    13. 13

You're obsessed with all the no-talent freaks; I give you Lady GagMe, Sliimy, and Beth Ditto (you haven't raved about her in forever, Parasite … did she finally get smart and drop-kick your ass out of her consciousness?). This one's as bad as all your other loves.

    14. 14

Mario give up your music promoting because you are talentless. This sucked the big weiner.

    15. 15

LA bomba? more like La Mierda, dude that shit sucks hard. You say you are obsessed with it? Ha! is this the kind of shit you think makes you qualified to be Simon's replacement on American Idol?

      Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn!

What galaxy does this come from again?

    18. 18

Me encanta!!! 'No, ya era hora que publicaras algo decente e innovativo, no importa si hay un monton de jibaros que no entienden un carajo de la cultura latina, pendejos que solamente entienden lo suyo y a poco, se pierden las riquezas que hacen a muchos en el mundo… mucho mejor que la basura que publicas de la puta Angelina!!!!!

    19. 19

THAT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOO STUPIDDDDDDDDDDDD AND SUCH AND INSULT TO SPANISHHH PEOPLE…..

    20. 20

OMFG you can't even pick good music in your own ancestral language,

    21. 21

There's no typo… it's slang from Dominican Republic and it means something like "the time to come back". Check YOUR facts before criticizing others.
She's a pretty unique artist here un DR and we love her!

    22. 22

@nezzia YOU get your facts right, it's not a typo it's dominican slang and it's supossed to be written that way, lay off perez and read a little bit before talking smack

    23. 23

Woooow, that's the most terrible song ever…the music sucks, the lirics, are there any really?

and you're obsessed with it, oh dear

contact me if you want good music in spanish, that just sucks

    24. 24

      I agree with u guaimimai

    25. 25

I'm Dominican and I don't like her or her music, but I respect those who does!

    26. 26

    27. 27

I love her. The first time I saw her video, my reaction was like WTF, however, I couldn't stop to watch it and mortified my co-workers with her music. At the end, everybody in my job love her.

    28. 28

ive actually been following her ever since she played in Miti Miti (about 3 or 4 yrs ago) , ive seen her playing live several times here in DR (pretty awesome). she happens to be one of the most interesting and breakthrough artists here. even though her video isnt the best out there, her music does talk about controversial subjects that most people have to deal with in the caribbean. in la hora de volvé, for example, she speaks about the travelling processes that take place here, when dominicans leave to the US in search of what they'd call "a better life". so, dont judge her as an artist based on a simple-low budget video

    29. 29

Cuidese!!!

    30. tasho says – reply to this

      30

for you ignorants…it's called bachata and it comes from Dominican Republic, i've seen her doing some concerts, its not my favorite kind of music but she does bring something different to the table

    31. 31

      this is psychedelic …

    32. 32

ROFLMAO at some of the comments.. So latino y me gusta musica latina pero man, this video scared the cojones out of me. It was a trippy, spooky, creepy, on acid type of video. Like the voice but not much else..Sorry..Gotta be high on something probably…

    33. 33

Yeah, not a big fan, sorry. It kinda started bothering and annoying me after, like, the first minute and a half. I guess it's okay, but definitely not obsession material…. Not this time.

    34. 34

fist for you to judge you have to understand the music, and the culture, this music is a mixture of African drums Santeria and some modern sounds second this is not "spanish" music because we are not "Spanish" even tho we do speak that language, we are Latins. third es la hora de volve without s is a dialect use out in the country in Dominican republic. this music is not for under educated stupid people this is for well cultured persons that listen more that just what the media make you want u to listen

    35. 35

IM DOMINICAN AND I LOVE RITA INDIANA, I LOVE THIS SONG!

    36. 36

Damm thats horrible why post that crap! Looks very gay and queeny.

    37. 37

      its not bachata…its manbo

    38. 38

I dont like her a lot…but i understand the music is a good material, culturally and very original

    39. 39

      madre mia! sin comentarios jajja

    40. 40

      Re: bryanlizza

    41. 41

      Pinga!!!

    42. KBGD says – reply to this

      42

i would say it's definitely like you… gay

    43. 43

The song it's actually spelled "Volvé" (here in the Dominican Republic we tend to cut the words short like that) You guys probably don't appreciate her work like we do here in DR because her music style is really groundbreaking, what she's done with merengue, mixing it with electronic beats and stuff, is something never done before… We love her here… and that song and that video are amazing =D

    44. 44

It's notorious those who said the grammar on this song it's bad, or they are already "Amerinazied" this song it's about an expretion from a Dominican- Latino emigrant, it express the reality form a disapointment of chasing the "Amarican Dream" and find nothing.

    45. 45

      —-Original Sound…. RitaIndiana Rocks!

    46. 46

Re: anshlpz – its not mambo either, these sound are african based drums, mixed with traditional merengue and electronic sounds! she is reinventing and embracing our cultural heritage!

    47. 47

Holy shiz…. it's an androgynous Dominican tranny dancing to some extraterrestrial merengue beat with wacky lyrics about immigration, and dancing it off at different locations throughout the galaxy…

      !!

      Hell yeah!

    48. 48

She is doing something never done in Dominican music which is bringing that tradititonal music back and mixing it with contemporary sounds. Those who don't linke or understand it should first know a bit about Latin culture even if you are latin! I'm pretty sure most of the people that commented negatively their countries don't even have a native music style and their musicians have to emulate other styles like american pop, rock. or some latin sounds like bachata, regueton, merengue or salsa. Its time for Young Latin Americans living on the States to startembracing their culture without the American influence! SHE IS FUCKING GREAT!!!

    49. 49

It's amazing, original and catchy (even when I dont speak Spanish). Just wonder who is the singer, drag or trans?

    50. 50

Sorry, Perez. It's not doin' it for me. But, I do like the graphics in the video.

    51. 51

Very Original, very genuine, a rare concept, hello From Spain

    52. 52

Hey is really sad that us living in a country, that is not ours no matter how much we try won't understand being spanish speaking folks the genius of this song, is a mixture of: Palos Music ( Music dedicated to Santeria); Rock, Funk, Bachata, Merengue and Electronic; but the most important part of it all is the message behind the words "La Hora De Volve" telling you that at the end of the day after you left your homeland filled with dreams and hopes most of us go back hurting, sick, ill and else is telling do what you can but don't be obcess with being here that we think there's no way to progress in our countries please folks look a little further than that is the ultimate inmigrants wake up call song i'm not her fan at all but is a great tune, Music is rich because it allows us to expressed in so many different ways and using combination of words that you wouldn't think possible that's the beauty of Music.

    53. 53

She is actually not a guy. She is just a RIDICULOUSLY TALL AND THIN woman! If you see interviews of her she is a very well and opinionated Dominican woman, and this song hits the nail on the head. As a Dominican I have to agree that people over there sometimes have the impression that here in the US there are 100 dollar bills lying on the streets.
      I think she's great!!

      i

    54. 54

I love it!!!!! i went in to a concert on Hard Rock Cafe Santo Domingo and shes def great at stage and the lyrics of the songs are so funny and dominicans, the rythm is "Afroantillano" and it is a mix of the Dominican "Mambo" and the african rythms… u should give it a try!!

    55. 55

wait…that's a woman?? i thought it was a nasally spock from Star Trek.

p.s. video looks like it was shot at the mall…what is so amazing about this crap?

    56. 56

It is NOT a guy. She is a woman.

    57. 57

Re: nezzia – ACTUALLY… the title of the song IS VolvE. People in the caribbean don't pronounce the R. And as the artist is all about representing the local, she often writes the songs names and lyrics the way the people speak it.

    58. 58

Re: Nonbreeder – Some people who don't appreciate avant garde latin american music won't understand. Its ok…

    59. 59

Re: nycyankeeguy – You're calling it gay and you're posting in Perez Hilton's web page… think there's something "funny" about that…

    60. 60

      I hate it .. I hate it ..

    61. 61

      wow, that was awesome o.o

    62. 62

Fun Look, but I think I almost had an epileptic seizure listening to that piece of crap and I'm not even eileptic.

    63. 63

Y'all. Rita is a SHE not a dude. SHE has a kid. AND SHE'S DOMINICAN. So that's why the title appears without ther R, it's just a caribbean thing. U guys seem not getting IT! I Freakin' LOVE Rita Indiana. She rules!!!

    64. 64

Very original! give her a chance also very nice to dance too..is electronic merengue from palo music of the Dominican republic. she has a very strong fan base from Brazil to Europe and the good old usa.

    65. 65

    66. 66

You don't have to understand Spanish to know that she has zero talent and that there was no budget for the truly awful video.

    67. 67

Re: Goddess V – In what way it's an insult … I dont feel insulted! It is actually very good stuff … new local (DR) artist with new proposal Fusing typical Dominican music with pop/rock good stuff.

    68. 68

Re: Goddess V – At least this is better than mexican noise uppss music!

    69. 69

Re: guaimimai – Agreed! She is unique!

    72. 72

Re: stellagranos – of course there was not budget …. that is a Demo video …

    73. 73

I have no problem with her, but the song sucks.

    74. 74

OMG! You guys are so full of sh*t, she's one of the best dominican performers and singers, she has a lot of talent and she's gone to where she is now by herself, making amazing beats and great music wich all dominican/latin people love. If you dont understand her music you shouldnt be critisizing and bullsh*ting, instead put on you headphones and listen to the crap of JonasBro and Miley.
Rita Indiana rocks and you should all know about it. :)

    75. 75

the hell is this crap? no.

    76. 76

      HOla Perez:
Gracias por apoyar tu raza LATINA!!!!! ^_^

    78. 78

Tambora & Guiirra!!!
      PAMf!!!!

    79. 79

Very surprised to see Rita on Perez. LOVE her, she is super talented. Having seen her a couple of times here in Santo Domingo, she IS the show, her lyrics and her rhythms are nothing I'd ever heard. It saddens me that most of you can't spot what true talent is instead of that Jonas shit you all love so much.

    80. 80

Re: stellagranos – If I would tell you to suck a dick! I would be offending the gay community! you are an ingnorant mother fucker! Tell me since when good artistic quality is linked to big budget! obviously you are just another pupet that follows whatever is presented on tv and radio. Another top 40 Idiot!

    81. 81

Re: nezzia – Nezzia where are you from? I bet from a spnish country either with a bad spnanish dialect or no musical heritage!

    82. 82

      Perez, esto es mierda -.-'

    83. 83

Ok Perez, with this you made up for all the crap you have been posting recently. Rita is brilliant… but probably to much ahead to be understood by 99% of your readers.

    84. 84

Re: DressThisCity – Who cares if other don't understand, just enjoy what you like!

    85. 85

mary-io, you are an embarrassment to the entire gay population of the world! Shut your ugly pie hole and give up on being a music critic! This song sounds like diarrhea coming out of your fat ugly ass after a big meal at El Pollo Loco!!!

BTW, most gay people can't stand you! FREEEEEEEEEEEEAK and BITTER QUEEN WITH NO TALENT!!!

    86. 86

It's called "la hora de volver" but it's pronounced "la hora de volvé" so he got it right. The song and the video are very cool, we love Rita in DR!!!!!!!

    87. 87

O sea, no sean tan "cerrados de mente" y den la oportunidad de poder disfrutar "arte", no pop music….GIVE YOUR SELF A CHANGE TO REALLY ENJOY FOREIGN CULTURE, AND APPRECIATE THE BEAUTY OF IT….

    88. 88

Re: Ilianov – I do agree with Ilianov, it's not a specific rythm, but it's a mixture of Perico Ripiao (derivation from Merengue, where most places in the north coast of the Dom Rep enjoy a lot) with Palo (ancient music still played by africans and haitians)

But you can check the beggining of many many artist, who are now big stars, they probbably began with a low budget, this is the case of Rita…. there many people here cheering her up because she is good. Trust me this is not a video that I'm proud of, but I've been in a live concert of her, she is unique.
      Peace from Santo Domingo.

    89. 89

That's part of our roots… for those who cannot understand the lyrics let me tell you even for me who speak spanish its hardly to know everything. However, the song is so deep because she relates the story of the people who leave their country in search of a better life in the USA but she says it's finally the time to return.

    90. 90

Me gustoooooo.

    91. 91

Re: nezzia – baby… is not "la hora de volver" even if the right spellling is with R at the end, the song is: "la hora de volve" just because WE use to say it like this you know (Dominican Slang), btw i've being in almost all Rita Indiana's Shows

Re: Nonbreeder – is a girl, don't blame her because she's skinny

    92. 92

      freak girl.

    93. 93

first of all i'm proud to be dominican an say that she is dominican Rita indiana is a revolutionary artist and her lyrics mean something…. its shameful how people who are ignorant of dominican/latin culture can have an opinion on her music without any knowledge of the type of music she sings… for us shes the next Lady Gaga, she's original, doesn't care what people, opiniated, model/ singer and is proud to be dominican 100 % … and reflect dominican society in all of her songs… EITHER WAY YOU WOULDN'T BE POSTING COMMENTS ON HIS PAGE….. DONT HATE….

    94. 94

Re: Ilianov – U should shut up u ignorant … because u dont know about typical music of all countries and you dont know who u are offending …. by the way that nick you use sounds like you are a free whore!

    95. 95

Ahahahah this is F'n Incredible! i live in DR. and i use to be part of the "Rock Scene" there…and this is just MIERDA as one person said….is all a F'N TREND CRAP…..she even got nominated for a "Cassandra" thats like the highest award in the DR….this is not bachata, not merengue, not rock, no electronic music, this is like taking a beef patty, milk shake, fries, pizza, and hot dog , and putting it in a blender then drinking it with STEVIA sweetner….which is the new Trendy Sweetner!….i love perez, but goddamn! i really hate this Rita Indiana Lurch Looking Bitch! CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP AND MORE MIERDA!

    96. 96

ohh and another thing…..todos los dominicanos posteando….WTF….dejense de mierda, que aqui son demasiado lambone, de to quieren hacer un coro…apoyen las vainas bien…no basura como rita indiana….dejen de ser TRENDY y VACANOS……y sean claros….eso es musica? por favor aqui hay demasiada vaina buena, pa perder el tiempo con esa basura….y ya no sean tan lambone de la gigante eta.
      se cuidan!

    97. 97

I'm glad there's people out there who are so WEIRD that they make ME look way NORMAL! lol

    98. 98

I would just like to say that liking a song is something very personal, you like it or you don't, there's no imposing on what you like. But by all the negative comments without even trying to understand or listen to its lyrics for a second is just plain and simple ignorance. 1. As someone else posted she is a writer and a poet as well and has won several national and international awards. With this and other songs she is making observations on her surroundings (culture, people, trends) and expressing it through a mixture of traditional and new media and instruments. 2. The video is a collaboration of various educated people with masters from Parsons more than probably many of you have.

    99. 99
