the point is that they will let two strangers get married as long as they are not of the same sex…but two people who love each other of the same sex will be denied

i suppose it was staged prob to show how flawy marital law is. socially marriage is perceived as institution standing for family,it legalizes RELATIONSHIP between LOVING ones. so when a woman chooses a person whom she doesnt know personally as her spouse its ok if he is a man, still they have advantage upon two people who prob know and love each other for years but belong to same sex. see the irony?

The whole "point" is how ridiculous that a marriage license won't be issued to two people in love (because they are both female) but WILL be issued to two people who don't even know each other (simply because one is male and one is female). I take it you didn't get into a good college, Tre_Claire.

I live in buffalo Ny and Kitty is my Neighbor. This was all just to raise awareness of gay marriage in NY state. They knew they were not going to get what they wanted and they invited the cameras there.
I really Feel bad for her and her friends that came with her. But I see NY legalizing gay marriage soon as David Paterson is looking for anyway to make money for the state.
O yeah on the local news they left the part out with Kitty and the stranger she had sit with her for the marriage license.

It's sad that she stages a publicity stunt and demeans those that are fighting for their rights. Personal i disagree with same sex marriage, however those states that allow it that is their laws and rights and i respect it. I respect those that want to be married and fight for that right but little stunts like this take away from the true fight and just cheapen it.
