All right, she played Selena and she did "Maid in Manhattan." Will she accept another role for a Latina, or will she continue playing generic watered down ethnics? Ms. Lopez can't be a trailblazer if she doesn't help tear down those fences.

Ugh, that's going to be a trainwreck. I REALLY hope her acting skills got better since angel eyes. That movie made me want my money back and my friend was the one who rented it.

Re: caroaber – I like her as an AMERICAN. I don't care about her ethnicity. Her career lost steam when she started down the militant "latina" road; there is nothing wrong with being mainstream and having a more broad appeal for ALL ethnicities. This IS the GREAT AMERICAN MELTING POT, you know. When one plays to one particular type, one runs the risk of alientating others. Just saying.
