Most likely for a pretty penny!

The famed Abbey Road studios which served as an icon for the Beatles' album of the same name has been put up for sale by EMI.

The asking price is unknown but experts are estimating the building is worth around $20 million!

Hard to put a price on a piece of legendary music history!

  2. 2

    I'm buying it! lol

Never mind the Beatles. "Live From Abbey Road" on BBC has seen
some of the most exquisite unplugged performances during its seasons.
Something about this place (and its acoustic) causes artists to excel in their performances, more than any other version they have made.

Hadn't heard. We'll post something. By the way, just read Playboy's interview with John Mayer. Yuck! Perez, how could you let him kiss you!

  5. 5

It should be turned into a music museum.

  6. 6

wow, i hope someone dedicated to preserving its integrity buys it….

  7. 7

I agree. As much as I would LOVE to have a piece of Beatle history myself, this is an iconic place. EVERYONE knows about Abbey Road! This is something that should be made into a museum type atmosphere for many generations to come to know where at one point in time historical music was made. WOW!

I am currently wearing a Beatles - Abbey Road shirt. Coincidence?

  9. 9

Hmmmm, that looks like a good location for a new Kentucky Fried Chicken. I mean…I hope not…but it wouldn't surprise me.

  10. 10

    surprise?

I think Sir McCartney can afford this - then turn it into a museum and reap the profits, moneybags!

  12. 12

    I would if I could.

I just hope tesco don't buy it. Grrr

  13. 13

in all seriousness though, I do hope who ever buys it turns it into a music museum. it would be a shame for it to be made entirely private property.

Re: Dr. Cornelia J. Dogbarker PhD rescinded – Or a safe injecting room…or a halfway house…or a retail space for Perez' books & t-shirts

Whoever buys it better not change it. There'll be a massive mutiny if somebody makes it into a tourist attraction or something god awful like that. Can you imagine… 'and here's where the Beatles recorded Let it Be… right behind the gift shop on your left'.

  16. 16

    The City should buy it!

It really is an iconic place, not just for Beatle fans, but for all music fans !!! So much history has been recorded there. Don't put up a block of flats !!! Buy it Mr. McCartney. You can afford it !!!!
