Leno's Sidekick Leaves The Tonight Show
The man knows a sinking ship when he sees one! We think he's the smartest of them all!
Kevin Eubanks, Jay Leno's trusted bandleader and sidekick, has decided to leave his longtime gig on The Tonight Show. Kevin admitted he wanted a "change" and is hoping to pursue other opportunities. Rumored to replace the band-man: Hootie and the Blowfish crooner Darius Rucker.
Not the same, but then again, The Tonight Show won't be the same either. It will take a long time for it to return to its former glory.
If it ever can!

Reread the article before you post that he is leaving. He will be returning on March 1st, but will be taking leaves much like Max Weinburg did on Conan….this is how rumors get started!!!
I love that Kevin left. I thought he was so much better than being Jay's sidekick. I just assumed he did it for the paycheck. I am soooooooo glad he left. Good luck to him. I really like the Hootie guy too, dang they must have paid him some dough, cuz who would want to step into that mess? I hope Darius has a good contract and gets paid out for at least 5 years cuz Jay will FAIL!!!!!!!

The same people who watched The Tonight Show with Leno will watch it again and he'll be #1 in the ratings. Eubanks was a bit of a bore so it can only help the show to have a new bandleader.

Thank god for that. His annoying fake laugh at every joke and that stupid stoner voice he uses all the time. At least after a couple of years of the show being on the air they finally turned his damned mic down.

Kevin's smart. The "Tonight Show" is now about as hopeful an endeavor as the Titanic. I know I will watch it exactly zero times over the next ten years.
