Brittany Murphy's Father Denied Visitation To Daughter's Grave

We're sure it was just a misunderstanding, but it should be nice to know that not just anyone can go and visit Brittany Murphy's grave.
Not even her own father.
Angelo Bertolotti went to the Forest Lawn Memorial Park to pay his respects on Monday, only to leave without ever visiting his daughter's grave. He had askedseveral employees directions to her final resting place, but he was quickly directed to the main office where official refused to give him any information. He claims that he could provide proof of his relationship to Brittany, but that the officials turned him away anyway.
The problem could be that Angelo is still not listed as her father on her death certificate. After this incident, he intends to go to the L.A. County Coroner's Office today and have the error fixed.
Hopefully, that will make his next visit go smoother.

Thats Fucked up no matter what thats still her father!
Forest Lawn is very uptight. If you go someplace like Hollywood Forever cemetery, you are given a map that lays out where famous people are buried and you are allowed to take pictures. They are very welcoming to visitors. Forest Lawn on the other hand will give you a map with the layout of the park, but that is about as friendly as they get. Pictures are not allowed, but since park employees do not follow you around the park, you can get away with it. It is best if you go to www.findagrave.com which lists exactly where people are buried so you can find them without having to ask. Except for the Great Mausoleum (where such celebrities as Michael Jackson, Jean Harlow, and Clark Gable are buried) which is off limits to everyone unless you have a special key.
I hope her father gets there eventually.
that's what he gets for not being with her when she was alive, sad
wonder why he wasn't listed on the death cert? that seems strange. is this monjack's doing?
yea, forest lawn won't tell anyone where anyone is buried especially famous people…
HOW SAD
she would probably want him to be able to visit
I think it's what he deserves. They were estranged. He didn't want any part of her life. Then she passed, and even then he denied going to the funeral "I dont want to remember her like this, she's still off making a movie somewhere in my head" he said.. I understand that its kind of natural to not believe it in your head, but he didn't even pay respects to his own daughter at her funeral. (all of this contributes to the lack of his name on the certificate) so i dont think he should always be denied, but i'm glad he's having to work for it.
That is just Forest Lawn. I have a family member buried there after losing a fight with cancer and they are very strict on revealing graves. As you can imagine, there are a lot of stars buried there and they don't want to turn the park into another tourist attraction. They believe very strongly in keeping the members buried there very confidential, so its not surprising that they didn't care about him. It seems kind of strange to me that he didn't know anyone that could tell him where the grave was. Did he really not connect with anyone in her life from friends to family? In this instance, Forest Lawn might have been doing them a favor.
Very sad!
But, there must be a reason!
poor father, cant even go and see his own daughter in her grave. but i guess they have to take it this seriously for safety precautions.
if he was never in her life, i doubt very mouch she would him to visit, ur too late pop's.
That is a great picture of Brit….she was sooooo hot!!!
its sad that he couldn't go visit his daughter but whats even sadder is that he has no idea where she is
Re: tigrrrlilly – No, it's not Monjack. He just never recognized her legally and she was registered as Murphy, her mother's lastname.
Actually you haven't been following the thread in cyberville, The Father has been in her life, he just kept it very quite since someone posing as him in 2003 let out that "I was a gangster" blurb. It was not in his or Britt's interest to release this info, so who in control would it have benefited???
not surprised, if you know this place you should be well aware of the fact that they are this tight on EVERY GRAVE, including normal people
So after she's died he finally gets around to adding his name to her birth certificate? Douchebag!!
Read it again, He is on her Birth Certificate, he brought it with him, he is correcting the False Report to a State Official on the DEATH Cert.
