Jay-Z Bash Reportedly Refuses White Folks Admittance!!
Uh-oh!! This is NOT cool.
Jay-Z is in the middle of some shizzzz because security at his BRIT Awards after party reportedly BANNED white people from going in the VIP area!
WTF??
After winning a BRIT for Best International Male Solo, the rap megastar and Mr. Beyowulf threw a rager at the Merah nightclub in London, and while African Americans were reportedly let through to VIP no questions asked, white people were refused admittance.
Britain's Daily Star Music Reporter Kim Dawson says:
"I've been to countless showbiz bashes but never have I met meatheads like those at the Jay-Z do (party). Jay-Z is a megastar and yet it was clear white people were not welcome in his VIP area. While the red rope was lifted for black guests to breeze through, let's just say it stayed down if your face didn't fit. I have never felt so intimidated. It left me feeling like a mauled dog."
Jay-Z's reps are reportedly claiming that security was hired by the club, but Merah's owners are claiming they had no idea of any issues.
Craaaaazy.

Even though this an isolated incident that happened in the superficial world of show biz, it still brings out the worst in people. Do I believe racism still exists? Well,, duh! Is this racist? Not really. We have some bitter reject's account of what went on in the VIP, with no one supporting or corroborating her story (I'm sure if she were a white reporter from a more respectable music magazine rather than the Daily Star, she probably would have been let in, but I hear she wasn't even invited in the first place).
Still, 400+ comments later, this incident (and racial incidents in general) always seem to hit a nerve with the readers. You got the predictable "what if it were reversed and only whites were allowed" comments. Then you got the lame "if it were reversed, Jesse Jackson/Al Sharpton would be on it," when in reality those two don't really get involved in EVERY matter of race like people want to imply. Then my favorite is, "slavery happened years go. People should get over it." Should the newer generation of Jews get over the Holocaust? Should everyone in this country born after 1975 care less about the World Wars or Vietnam? Should future generations forget and get over 9/11?
this is horrible. i'm sorry but there are some blacks who always complain about racism yet I think they are more racist than any other race. i have an ancestry filled of light skin and blue eyes to black skin brown eyes and we were raised to love each other as one. how your party or event is run is a direct reflection on you. shame on him for allowing this to happen and for making this poor woman feel this way. he can have his PR people set up whatever statement they want fact is it cannot take back how it made this woman feel.

this story is complete rubbish! i know because I was at the vip party in London's MERAH club. it was a private party, by invitation only. (wristbands sent to me 2 days before). there were many white persons!
kim dawson from the daily star was trying to sneak her way into the vip area, probably to suck up to Jay-Z or the other stars who were there: the saturdays, sugababes, jls,…. when a bouncer stopped her. she was not on the invitee list and she did not have a wristband so she was not allowed in. as simple as that! Even Alisha Dixon turned up and wanted to get in, but she hadn't been invited so she was not let in. so really cant be a racist issue since alisha and kim are each a different colour! anyway, kim was sooooo cheesed off, that she made up this shit story. its crazy I know. its crazy that a tabloid reporter thinks that she has the right to crash a private party! Jay-Z is fantastic! Merah was Amazing! and Kim Dawson is a pathetic "mauled dog" she should be banned from Merah for trying to turn a music celebration into a racist issue. bad girl! bad girl!

I would agree with Jay Z… I mean White People did a heavier damage on Black People than just not letting them invite in (killings, discrimination etc…) so I think this is just compensation on damages that White People did to them… I mean they were the ones who made effort to be fair not White People.
