      Well sure it may be. Drinking a pint of vodka can kill a lot of physical pain also. So can shooting herion with which is the mother of all pain killers. Unfortunately marijuana also fries your brain cells and is absolutely horrible for your lungs. It is also a hallucinogen, which a lot of grass smoking freaks like to conveniently forget. It also can take up to a month to wash out of your system and forever stays in the fatty tissues of your brain. If you get into an injury accident and they draw blood on you and find THC there, you have a very serious problem on your hands. We've already got alcohol which is way too ingrained into society to outlaw at this point. Let's not add more fuel to the fire.

      Wow people, before you start bashing Perez's site because he posted why don't you go to the the two words thats highlighted that says, "new study" click on that and there, for all you retards is where he got the information. Its not like Perez is just now finding out that it helps…he's posting what the link said…which fucking says NEW STUDY has found that it has helped on MORE certain things. We all know there is medical marijuana already, but now they're finding more ways it can cure.

      It doesn't kill brain cells, doesn't stay in the brain forever, and it's only damaging to the lungs if it's smoked. Marijuana in no way compares to alcohol, hard drugs, or even pharmaceuticals (both prescription and otc). It's impossible to harm yourself on the active chemicals in marijuana from smoking, vaporizing, or eating it. It's also less addictive than caffeine.

      Any other misinformation you'd like to spread?

      And yes, having the freedom to do what you want with your own body IS ingrained into society. It's called liberty.

      Christ, people have known about this for EVER, and it's been kept quiet by those in the prescription drug industry because it would completely CHANGE the way medicine is used, and prescribed.
      (Not to mention change our legal narcotics legislation, and throw into a tizzy the current "criminal organizations" who bring us the stuff.)
      CANNABIS is a definite healer, for sure, (I smoke it legally for fibromyalgia, one of the "legit conditions") although I will say that integrating it into our "pill-poppin and drinkin" society could be difficult to say the least.
      For example, MARIJUANA & ALCOHOL are a dangerous mix, as they each have the opposite effect on our body's physical, mental and emotional state… and MARIJUANA with tons of prescription drugs on top of it have a deleterious effect as well.
      So… VERY COOL that they're doing "studies," but SHEESH, I hope they include EDUCATION on the subject when it is finally released.

      I wrote a paper on medical uses for marijuana 7 years ago and found much evidence during my research that already confirmed that. Thats really old news.

      As many others on the site have already done, I'm going to suggest that you do some research on this particular subject, my friend. You are grossly misinformed.
      I recommend searching the name "Jason King," author of "The Cannabible Collection," and reading into studies that have been performed, (and subsequently shut down) on the medicinal properties of cannabis, and the fact that it NOT ONLY DOES NOT CAUSE CANCER, IT ACTUALLY HELPS IN THE CURE.
      A quote to get you started:
      "… recent lab research indicates that nicotine, the active and highly addictive ingredient in tobacco, activates an enzyme that converts certain chemicals in tobacco smoke into a cancer-promoting form. THC, on the other hand, inhibits the enzyme necessary to activate the carcinogens found in ganja smoke."

      "…It started in 1974, in a little-known study in which researchers at the Medical College of Virginia, funded by the National Institutes of Health, set out to find that marijuana damages the immune system. Instead, they found that THC slowed the growth of three kinds of cancer… Furthermore, compounds found in cannabis have been shown to kill numerous types of cancer, including leukemia and lymphoma, glioma (the cause of some brain tumours) pheochromocytoma, and cancers of the lung, breast, prostate, and skin."
      The science HAS been done. But it would destroy how the FDA works and manages its funds & profits, AND it would tear down the criminal organizations which sell it… which is WHY there is such negative publicity against it. Those in the "know" are simply too lazy to affect the changes necessary to implement medicinal marijuana, because they KNOW it would take a complete overhaul of our health care system.
      THAT is what needs to be "outlawed."

      i wouldn't know what to do about my migraines without it. iv taken prescription meds for my migraines which never worked and i finally discovered that tylenol migraine and a joint is the cure :)

      in time society will get their heads out of their bottoms and realize the potential of this miracle plant. :)
