William Shatner is tweeting his way back onto TV with a new pilot based on the micro-blogging account, Shit My Dad Says!
The Twitter feed, created by Justin Halpern, was so immensely popular that it cemented him a scriptwriting deal with CBS and got the attention of Will & Grace creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick!
Now that Shatner has signed on as the infamous dad, the project has moved to Warner Brothers and has been given the go-ahead to start production on the pilot!
Unfortunately, if it goes to series, its title will most likely be changed.
We're cautiously optimistic about the project - the tweets are HIGHlarious, but we're not sure it can translate to a series.

I'll watch anything with William Shatner. What's with the Kellogg comment? Is he featured in an ad for them? He sure doesn't need the money. He's entitled to enjoy the fruits of his career and eat well. So what if he's a little overweight. I love the guy.
I love the Shat but he is the wrong man for the show. And I don't think his health is going to allow for an option to go long and strong, if it turns out to be a winner. I can only think of what happened to "8 Simple Rules" when Ritter died.

I Love his voice it is very soothing ! He is a VERY good Narrator !
But , however I must say this is a very bad angle he is shot at he does look constipated ! LOL !

I'm way disappointed. Not a match at ALL. They could have found someone way much better and closer to the real dad. This is my favorite tweet and I was excited to see a show being developed. Shatner will kill it…and not in the good way!
