People make mistakes like these ALL the time, everyday. Many marriages go through the same crap all the time, so I dont get why things are always diffrent with celebs? They are people too, they are gonna make mistakes and frankly, he didnt have to explain anything to anyone. Yes what he did is horrible and if I was his wife Id leave him in a heartbeat but its HIS personal life. Why do we continue to scrutize these famous people and then wonder why the fuck up? Hes a douche alright, but are so TONS of other men who cheat on their wives and mistreat them yet none of those douchebag ever get this kind of treatment and none of them have to give public apologies to anyone. I mean he looks miserable and he should have thought with the head upstairs but people need to stop being hypocrites because men do this all the time, Tiger isnt the first and sure as hell isnt the last.

Seriously why should a grown man have to apologize for having sex with a bunch of women. It's normal, ofcourse not nice for his wife but cheating is normal and not illegal. America is just unbelievable fucked up, it's not him who should apologize, it's the general American public that should apoligize to him, for not letting a grown man live his live.

    3. 103

It's such a personal topic, why is he apologizing to us? It feels weird to even hear it.

    4. 104

Watching this just makes me MISS THE SHIT OUT OF SOME DAVE CHAPELLE! Damn! Why did he have to go? The whole time this asshole was talking, I just started getting a mental image of Dave impersonating his lyin' ass. COME BACK, DAVE!

    5. 105

oomgggg people get over ittt! If those ho's really knew who they were sleeping with for a chance, they would KNOW he's a married man! and im pretty sure they knew so they deserve it
THOSE BITCHES GOT PLAYED, AND THEY GOT PLAYED GOOD. GET OVER IT. IT HAPPENS. I give kudos to tiger cuz you know damn right he played those whores like if it was monopoly :]
      -Twinkle.

He didn't have to make this press statement. He didn't have to apologize to anyone but his family. He even stated that he has to show his wife he is sorry. I'm glad he finally came to her defense that she didn't attack him and that he told the press to leave his family alone, that he was fair game. I believe he is sincere, I believe he deserves forgiveness because we all make mistakes and we are no one to judge. He is seeking help and is in the process of recovery, you can't be mad at someone for that. Just because the world puts you on a pedestal doesn't mean they are owed an apology. Everything he said was true and I agree with. And because he read from pieces of paper doesn't mean he was insincere, he wanted to express all of his thoughts and not leave something out, so it actually makes sense to write it all down. Now it's all done and everyone can let it go and move on!

Re: TheWorldAccordingToLi – damn right. there are many ignorant people on this page "it's not our business" "he made a mistake, he's human", and surprise, surprise - mostly girls. sometimes, i am ashamed of being a girl. because when i see ignorant, unintelligent and bitchy comments like the ones that's posted here, i get sick to my stomach.

i hope these girls experience a guy like woods. i really do. because some people dont have the ability to understand something just by using their intellect, they need to experience it - and they probably will. easy victims for any type of abusers. and when they find themselves in the same situasion or worse, then will see what they have to say. learn the hard way. and there's a lot of people who can tell you - it aint fun.

    8. 108

just to clear this up for all the dumbasses that are saying he doesn't owe the public an apology… he had to because tiger woods is marketable brand. he makes his millions endorsing products. products he wants you to buy, so he can make more money, duh?
he wants you wearing Nike, ect. so he doesn't lose his endorsements! so this is why he made a public apology, he could careless if you get warm fuzzies from his apology, he doesn't want to lose his endorsements!!!

    9. 109

he shouldn't have made any statements… it's nobody's business. and i'm glad elin isn't there, to witness this embarrassment.

    10. 110

he will be caught again in the future, guaranteed

    11. 111

Sorry Tiger, I don't like eating bullshit for lunch.

I see where people are coming from when they say that this should be a private matter and Tiger shouldn't have done a press conference in the first place. This was definitely not a press conference addressing his family - given what he does for a job, this was something his PR people felt he had to do to maintain that job. If he doesn't come out and talk about it, he's going to seem like an asshole and when you're a professional golfer or anything like that, your career is driven, not only by the number of good drives, but also the amount of people who like you.

I would have appreciated this statement a lot more if it didn't seem like he was some fifth grader reading a speech for class that it is so obvious his mommy prepared for him. He needs to show he's sincere and the monotone voice and constructed apologies don't cut it. He needed to say things in his own words. For me, him saying nothing for now would have been preferred over this garbage.

    12. 112

      where is the rest?
the interesting part for us/society is when he said, he thought he can do whatever he wants because he is rich & famous …
and there are many people who clear the way for the rich&famous …
      it is a society-problem …

    13. 113

Oh, get fucking real. It is scripted. It is read. It is not an apology. It is a reading. And it is not from the heart. It is bullshit.

    14. 114

To me, he is not being sincere. I know its a private matter between him and his wife, but the private moment has become public because of the girls he has been with. He had too much to lose with endorsements, so of course he is going to use his pr people to get back in good with the public. I think he is tarnished. This may blow over, but no one will forget this…it will always be apart of his image now. On top of that, a mistake would be if he had an affair with one person. Multiple people like 14 or however many people he had, is just ridiculous. He knew what he was doing and he obviously wasn't ashamed of it. Elin should leave, she wont be able to trust him again.

    15. 115

      Re: alysissa98
*He needs to show he's sincere and the monotone voice and constructed apologies don't cut it. * lol but he always had monotone and done everything constructed since he was a child. Tiger has always been a robot, which why i didnt fall for the bullshit image in the first place. And I still dont know why people fall for it. He needs to change his ego and some of his personality if he wants people to like him. That is going to take years.

    16. 116

he does not owe the world an apology because it's not up to us to forgive him. This is between him and his wife and children. They are the ones that he must prove to. They are the ones he must be a good role model for. As for the rest of the world, we have our own role models, our own responsibiltites to look after, and our own problems. We should not look up to tiger or any other famous individual as an example because we just don't know them like we think we do.

    17. 117

No probs Tiger. I forgive you. He's back baby!!!!!!!!

    18. 118

What a BUNCH OF BULL. This man-slut is doing this purely for PR. C'mon, would the president of the US be able to have this type of ultra-controlled press conference to explain his misbehavior? This was nothing but a huge publicity stunt. Again, this self-entitled prick thinks people will forgive him by issuing a monotone statement that reeked of insincerity. He invites those who are his friends and family and only "friendly" members of the press? The press served only as a backdrop–this selfish jerk used them as he used all those women. He's all about control, and people still want to give him control and coddle this creep because he's "Tiger Woods", a persona that's AS PHONY AS HIS SPEECH WAS. That is the worse thing you can do. It merely reinforces his delusion that he is special, above the moral code, and that he doesn't have to own up to his bad behavior. His idea of owning up is to read a prepared speech and not allow any questions. I would have rather not heard from him at all because his words were hollow. The only thing he is sorry for is GETTING CAUGHT. Just wait–this creep will go back to whoring in no time. The amazing thing is this stupid idiot thinks that he can "restore" his former image of "family man" and all will be forgiven and forgotten. I

    19. 119

I think he's sincere. Really he doesnt owe the public any apologies, just his family and his sponsors. He didnt even have to make a speech. People are gonna think what they want anyway and comment about his speech. What was he supposed to do, cry and jump up and down? No matter what people will always be hard on him so he cant win. He should worry about his wife, mother and children, nothing else matters.

    20. 120

The only reason he is doing this is because he got caught…if not you would probably kept on going. Bulsh***

    21. 121

helloo did everyone just realised that he is a control freak…..? Tiger ALWAYS was a control freak! duh! Go back and watch interviews of when he was a kid, teenager and adult! same old tiger, controlled everything! He controlled everything before he met Elin. As for his marriage, no one knows if he will cheat again. Elin should have some idea of that. All we know is he is a control freak. I think he should be getting help for that! And the golf community will forget and forgive. ACTIONS speak louder then words.

    22. 122

Re: Raychel420 – Offended OR affected. For the love of all that is holy, why have we set a standard for this man that is any different from any other human being?

    23. 123

if he wanted it 2 stay a private matter between him and his wife he would not of held a press conference to say sorry 2 the world, i do think its stupid he involved the world in his private life but then that is american culture once u becum known they invite themselves into ure lives evry1 must know that by now, i wish he would say hu he actually slept around with and which ho's werr juz tryna make a buck and make fools of themselves!!!!

    24. 124

      Lame!

    25. 125

that was horrible and painful to watch. he is a dumbass and should stick to sticking it in all the wrong places.

    26. 126

He's not sorry for what he did, he's sorry he got caught! The only people he owes an apology to are his wife and kids, it's no one else's business.

    27. 127

      Elin run. Run fast!

      128

Wish Tiger and his family all the best.

    29. 129

This "man" is fuckin pathetic! I dont believe he's truly sorry. I think he's just sorry he got caught! Nice going tiger. Your kids are gonna hate you the day they are old enough to know what u did!

    30. 130

society is pathetic. WHO CARES?! he cheated on his wife. NO SHIT

    31. 131

A local station stopped all programming and had breaking news.

      It was this.

      Not an amber alert.
Not some major event in the world

      Just Tiger Woods.

      Slow news day I guess.

    32. 132

      1. The press is full of assholes. They're all claiming he should've done this public apology earlier. WRONG. It's a little more believable that after a month of rehab, he sees the error of his ways.
      2. He is scary. He emotes like a robot in slow motion.
      3. The paps SHOULD leave his wife & kids alone.
      4. He looks like he has hair plugs in the front.
      5. His mother is motherfuckin ugly.
      6. Gloria Allred and the homely hooker really bombed. Is Ms James for real??? "I shouldn't have been treated this way"? Does she mean Tiger doesn't have the right to try to make his marriage work? Huh?
      7. Thank God Elin wasn't there. So glad.
      8. Wonder if Britt Hume the genius still thinks Buddism is the wrong religion. That only Christians can be forgiven?

    33. 133

      DOUCHE LORD!!!!

    34. 134

Not that I justify anyone cheating on their significant other, but I suppose I'd rather have my husband cheat on many whores instead of having an affair with one woman.

    35. 135

Totally rehearsed and staged. Another lie.

    36. 136

      yes you got caught

    37. 137

What more can the man say. I didn't think that he owe anyone an apology as to his private life, but to his family. He did apologize so let's now move on. The Press seems to be upset because Tiger will not sit down with them and answer all their foolish questions. The problem here is that the press doesn't realize they are being foolish. I have a question for the Press what in the world do you guys and gals want to know. Press understand there are limits to what we and you have the right to know. Make a list of your questions and let us see what they are. Tiger Yes, Press NO.

And the Oscar goes to ……….

    40. 140

He presents himself at the podium as if he were the President of the United States!! He is still a loser!

    41. 141

I DONT THINK HE OWES ANYONE AN EXPLANATION FOR ANYTHING… PERIOD.. HIS LIFE = HIS BUSINESS
