Um, what? Where the hell did this come from?
Fergie apparently is over her recent Black Eyed Peas success and is starting to look ahead to her next solo album. An album, we hear, she is taking in a brand new direction:
Hardcore rock!
Fergie spent some time in the studio with Guns N' Roses rocker Slash helping him out on hi upcoming self-titled solo disc and she liked it so much, she is looking to make a rock album herself. And Slash thinks she has what it takes! He says:
"I might actually do a rock record with Fergie, because she wants to do a rock record so I might get involved with her on that. She's got this killer rock 'n' roll voice."
All the power to ya, but we think you should stick to what you know…and what makes you money!

Umm since you claim to be so into the music bizz, you should know Fergie has worked with Slash a lot and is on his album. BTW she does a lot of different things, she has done rock before. She never said she was totally changing.
And she can pull it off, she rocked a performance with Mick and U2 at the Hall of FAme awards and blew them away ! If you really were on top of things and not biased you would not be surprised at this and know she had done it already. But then again you predicted failure for the Peas biggest CD. Oh and they are ahead of Gaga with Itunes downloads and selling out huge arenas on their tour, unlike your lame tour!

Actually, this is a very good idea. I think the public might soon tire of Fergie in her usual R&B-influenced pop. I think a rock direction would really turn some heads and probably sound very good. But, she needs to really COMMIT to the rock direction. Rihanna had said stated before "Rated R" came out that she wanted to create something that Kings of Leon would like. That is certainly NOT what she unleashed onto the public. Fergie could make this work. Bring it, girl.

"what makes you money!" really Perez so your infering that Pop Music dominates over Rock and Roll and Metal? I understand nowadays Pop is in and it's easy to sell but real true Rock & Roll means you have talented musicans actually using their voices to their full extent. I would like to see them work together.
She will be great as a rock singer, Perez. Her rendition of Barracuda was better than the original.

She did a cover of Led's Black Dog in concert and I have to say that it was AMAZING.
I'm not holding my breath for this to be a ground breaker, but she does have a powerful voice and all, I suppose we shall see.

With the peas she really doesn't get a chance to really sing. She is an outstanding vocalist when given the chance. The group she was in before the peas, Wild Orchid, had gr8 vocals. I don't see what people see or hear in the BEP's
