But, um, you're not really blind, so WTF?!

Little Abigail Breslin is in the middle of previews for her Broadway debut in The Miracle Worker and sources are saying that she is getting a taste of what the real Helen Keller must have gone through.

Along with multiple bruises and cuts accumulated throughout rehearsals, last night Abigail sliced her hand wide open while handling a porcelain doll! She had to have tons of stitches!

Girl is committed!

OMGosh! Jesus if she's going to have the integrity to commit like that you'd think they'd try to protect her by making sure she at least isn't handling shit that will slice her hand open!

      Feel better!

Didn't even recognize her! She might be one of the few child actresses who grows up cute!

She is awesome and one hell of a lil actress! I hope she goes far!

Ouch! A sliced up hand could result in permanent damage - ask Shia LeBeouf or Rosie O'Donnell.

tons of stitches????? over 4,000 stitches and she is still up there? I am amazed. I also did not know that helen keller went through that. tons of stitches, what a line. get the kid a plastic doll, the back rows will never know the difference.

I think Abigail and Dakota are going to be the 2 biggest, most sought actresses when they reach their 20s and 30s.

I've worked on productions of this show, and it's pretty common for the actresses who play Helen and Anne to get banged up because the play is so physical. But stitches? Damn!

Yeah, "tons of stitches?" Now THAT'S hard hitting journalism at it's finest! We'll probably find out it was 7.

My leg was sliced open by a porcelain doll and required stitches, which left a scar, so I'm guessing it'll be the same with her, ouch.
