That's awesome. And if it's a PR move for Angelina, she's throwing some free and likely much needed press to Jon Voight too.

That's really sweet. I can't blame Angelina for being mad at him for so long. Her dad has a tendency to say some DUMB, IGNORANT shit!

But I'm glad they've worked out their differences.

I hope it lasts. I think he's truly sorry he didn't spend time with his kids while they were growing up. Maybe he'll be a good granddad.

Good for them. How can someone try be so kind and nice to the world without having a good relationship with her own father?

To all who think it's a PR move, I have to disagree:
(And normally I'm pretty VOCAL on how I feel about this women, as any who reads my post will know.)
I think with all of the recent publicity, (and the fact that it's most likely bringing back memories of the LAST TIME this happened - a publicity crisis & a potential adoption media blitz) I'm guessing that THIS TIME AROUND, Angelina has decided, whether consciously or not, to DEAL with what's going on around her.
And maybe I'm projecting my own circumstance here, but reaching out for her Dad at a time when she's ready to "stop wearing black," (whether conscious or not, let's FACE it, it's what she's choosing to wear)… Well, I believe it shows that she's ready to face whatever is going on in her head. She's ready for a CHANGE.
Not that I'm apologizing for how I feel about her, that hasn't really changed, but I'm hopeful this is a good sign. Maybe y'all think her kids are lucky, but growing up in a household where there's a lot of yelling and kids and people taking pictures and never really having a moment to yourself DEFINITELY WEARS ON A KID. And she's been grieving her Mother for YEARS now…
*shrug* Well, I'm hopeful anyway.

Angelina and Brad are not saints. Just because they drop their coin for a cause, and adopt tonnes of young children does not make them, Godly. Nor does it make them endearing and caring. It's obvious what they are doing, and what they want. And frankly, who cares if she's mourning or not. I don't care, nor should the rest of the world care, what she does in her life. It's no one's business to know. They get far to much acknowledgement and clapping for all the supposed good work they do. It's expected of them, and they give it.

Re: Brainiac – Sorry Brainiac, there is a picture of them in Venice on another site, and she is wearing black. I'm not a big fan of Angelina, but I'm glad she is trying to get along with her dad.

She is such a humanitarian now compared to her wilder days. She shines among so many other self-absorbed celebrities. Having children does this for you. Selflessness. Good for her. I'm sure Brad had a lot to do with this reconciliation. He was interviewed a few months ago and said Ange was coming to terms with the division between herself and her father. Esp since her mother is now deceased. As for you Angelina haters - how sad. To feel so much disdain for someone you don't know personally. Get over it. And as for her feelings for our current president - it's the way the majority of Americans feel. Obama's had over a year to prove his leadership and fails miserably - in millions of Americans viewpoints. His congress is crumbling. Walking out. End of subject.

She should forgive him. How would she like if she fucked up and her kids disowned her? We all make mistakes. Life is short, move on.

This is SO whack! This woman will forever be trying to beat the 'other woman' at her game. Daddy left her for another woman when she was a child, so she has to prove again and again and again, by drawing married/involved men away from their women, that she is BETTER than that woman long ago.
