No, seriously - how did Joe Jackson actually get ahold of MJ's medical records??
Joe had previously requested the records in an effort to sue a number of media outlets for publishing photos of Jackson being wheeled out of his home on a gurney on the day of his death.
And he managed to get them!
The money-hungry Jackson says the records are "necessary to evaluate [the] wrongful death claim for purposes of determining the likely cost of pursuing that action."
He also spouted off that the docs will "provide the necessary foundation for evidence he will present at the family allowance hearing about his overall ongoing financial needs during the course of estate administration."
We knew it!

I worked with one of the Jackson brothers (Jermaine) back-in-the-day and saw, first hand, the damage done to this grown man as a result of his abusive, cruel father, Joseph. Let's just say, history repeats itself. Jermaine was quiet and sweet all day until his 2 yr old showed up on the set, and acted (out) like a typical 2 yr old. Jermaine suddenly turned into an abusive monster to the child. I was shocked and very sad as I carried the child down a steep flight of stairs. I recently saw a picture of the kid and he looks F*UCKED UP! Hope he'll be OK, I truely wonder though…
I saw him in Trinidad once at a *Christian dance club. I was so scared lol.

Anyone can subpoena medical records. No doctor wants to go to court and get involved, so they'd hand over the records.
Once again the vast dearth of your stupidity is glaring. Health information is kept secure. Joe didn't just walk into a records area and ask someone for records. Your word for the day: SUBPOENA. It is usually a noun. It can also be a transitive verb …

Hopefully the executors of MJ's estate will put a quick stop to any potential money making opportunities for greedy Joe! He STILL can't get it through his head that Michael didn't want him to inherit ANY of his money…If U need money that bad, Joe, get a JOB- like everyone else does!
I don't even know what to think of this man ,i knew how he treated Michael but Michael forgave him and said that was just "tough love" but i really saw the ugly when he showed up at the BET Awards not even a couple days after Michaels death to promote his own record label.

Michael said he forgave his father but am not sure why Joe never did anything to earn that forgiveness in my opinion. I was especially disgusted by his appearance at the BET awards when he started promoting his record label instead of mourning his son. I felt bad for MJ always trying to find reasons that proved that Joe loved him I don't think Joe is capable of loving anybody.
He is MJ's father, so hes entilled to take a look at his medical record. If theres nothing shady about the report than theres no need to worry. It would have looked dodgy if Joe wasnt allowed the have those records. That would mean there hiding something.

In the end, if he finds info that is beneficial, the estate will benefit as much if not more than Joe. Releasing medical records is called HIPPA..
He's Michaels dad!! He has every right to get whatever records he wants. The media hounded MJ all his life and they even thought it was okay to snap a picture of him dead. Papa Joe may have done so horrible things to Michael when he was a kid and he shouldn't be forgiven for making MJ so depressed during times of his life but we do owe Joe because Joe pushed his family go leave Gary, Indiana. He wasn't pimping out his children, his kids, especially Michael, were amazingly talented and Joe knew it. Without Joe, we wouldn't know who the Jackson 5 or Michael Jackson was because Joe pushed his family to be the best. Michael said he loved and forgave his father and during the '05 trial, Joe was ALWAYS buy MJs side and there is even a picture of them holding hands. Joe, go after the people who published that photo for all their worth!!

I thought he was a jerk for talking about his record buisness at the BET awards instead of mourning but he said that even though he was upset, there was NO WAY he was going to cry in public. If he had cried, most people woul've said he was faking anyways so there's really no way he can win.
I could understand Joe wanting to use his Son's talent to get the hell out of Gary IN, I live in Detroit and once went through that city on a train trip. Like Detroit the city is a rotting, crime and drug infested post-industrial hellhole.
If you live in Gary, and cannot get out. You will not have a future. Like Detroit the fall of manufacturing has cause much of the city to be abandoned. Both cities were featured on Life After People.
Notice how the Jackson's never returned to "Give Back" if you grew up there you do not want to go back ever.

lol I know some people here think that b/c Joe took his family out of Gary Indiana we should be grateful to him since that gave us the Jackson 5 and MJ and I agree to a certain extend. Joe still didn't need to continue abusing MJ and his brothers once they had made it or call MJ ugly even after Thriller came out. That to me just shows a mean person rather than a misunderstood one. I would support Joe in this if it was for MJ but something tells me he has other motives mostly b/c of his past actions. Anyways I wish the best to MJ's children hopefully they will get to live the childhood MJ never had.

Re: MJJ – Yupp i agree, he continued on beating them and when asked about it he would say "well i kept my kids out of the street ,they never did drugs" and all this other crap Michael said that he would get physically sick when Joe would even look at him ,and i don't think thats normal at all ..for Michael to be that scared of his own father,the kids were even scared to call him father..i think the proper word is abuse rather than tough love..This man seriously had problems ,im not saying he didn't love his children but he had a problem showing it. Michael forgave him and he loved him,but i don't think that Joe compares to Katherine at all she was everything Joe wasn't.

Re: blahblah12 – Yeah, there's always that other side of it. I think we've almost all have some of that. I know that back in the day it was spare the rod and spoil the child, or many thought you weren't a good parent. People think differently now, and good thing, imo. Some steel hands were steelier than others, but as I've said before, I had lots of friends who got a whipping regularly. We just exchanged knowing glances. Hindsight for Joe is probably 20/20, but what's the use now? He's old school, and if he were a principal, the kids wouldn't have much liked him, just saying, but they would have minded their p's and q's. You didn't see any of the Jackson kids (publicly) get caught up in the drug scene back then, and it might have saved some of their azzes, because a lot of artists died or ditched themselves.
It's normal to requese & get autopsy and emerency medical records after the decendent gas been interred and at tmes before. I have read elseware that he was stopped from getting ALL of his poor son's med records - which he wanted to try ro build a case. I read the autopsy report = acute prophol intoxication is nor the resusitation attempts om MJ's long deceased body are going to be no hekp to him. THANK G*D!

Re: AriLove13 – You know I read Moonwalk, and I actually agree with a lot of what you said. He didn't of course need to be so abusive, but Michael learnt a lot from his perfectionism and the way in which he made them challenge themselves and work to the limit.
Also when you look at the 2005 trial you always saw him next to MJ (often holding his arm) and he really seemed concerned.
Anyway I don’t care how he got hold of the records I want those media outlets to be sued, and I don’t care who gets the money – media whores!
